pretty sure it is the same motor as the neon srt-4, i thought about getting one for the wifey, i know a few guys that have those neons flying, so i would guess all the same can be done to the caliber..
2015 A6 Mustang GT that so far has gone 9.48@147 but still the fastest prochargerd S550 in the world aside from Tim Essick's!

"2.4-liter DOHC 16V Turbocharged I4 with dual variable valve timing (DVVT). It produces 285 hp (213 kW) at 6,400 rpm, and 265 lb·ft (359 N·m) of torque at 5,600 rpm using the Mitsubishi TD04HL4S-20 turbo"
Not sure if that is a carryover from the Neon or not, but it makes more power. I'm betting it has a larger turbo on it than the skittle did. Also, I know that there are some things that are different like the intercooler piping - so it may very well be a new unit.
Edmunds dynoed one and it put down 281whp and 261wtq
If the Neon was the skittle.... is the caliber the gobstopper?
i think 04cobrl2a (i beleive thats his screename on here)has one. He should kno a lil more about them.

I think they're a respectable and useful cars.
I'd definitely consider one if I hadn' already turbo'd the Focus.

he's into that, that spiritual stuff. <><
I have one, but as far as modding I'm not too sure. Its my DD so I didn't want to mod the hell out of it. I know there isn't much out for them as of now. Here is a website I found on the CSRT4 forums that they recommended http://www.modernperformance.com/. I looked into the stage kits, but from what I heard they havn't come out yet for the CSRT4, and the existing ones for the neons won't work on the caliber.

Not sure if the SRT4 version is the same transaxle as the SXT, etc, but we would own one now if it not for the CVT transaxle (was looking for wife car, not SRT stuff ;) ). Really nice for a daily driver, has some untilty, etc, I just could not get past that tranny.
We bought a Focus instead.

The Caliber SRT4 uses a completely different engine from the Neon SRT4. The caliber uses Chrysler's new "World" engine which was a joint venture between Chrysler, Mitsubishi, and Hyundai. The neon's motor was a Chrysler only design, based around the old 2.0 Neon engine architecture which was very loosely based on the old 2.2/2.5L k car engine. from what I have read, the Caliber isn't faster than the Neon version, due to extra weight. You wouldn't have to worry about the CVT trans, as I'm pretty sure SRT4's only come in manual.
