First, who says that's what it was shooting for??
Secondly, and i may be wrong, b/c i don't like the car and haven't kept up on it... but if they put a LS7 in one of the trims, as was rumored a long time ago, yes it will smoke a termy.... And even with the LS3, I think it would give a termy a run for its money - I only say this b/c I think they've been pulling 13.1's outta the G8's - I would think that the Camaro will be able to best this by several tenths.... but of course, that's all speculation on my part.... I suppose if i read up on the damn thing, i would know for sure
please don't tell me your another termy nutt-hugger that thinks its the answer-all, end-all? I have 100% respect for it, anyone who knows me will tell you that --- but pleaseeeee......
then again, lets not go there - we both know where this thread will go

422 hp smokeing a termy? Naw. Then again I'll just smoke them in my old car next year and love it. I don't hate the car. I'm just fouled off at the nations stupidty. I think it looks ok. I don't like independent rear suspension much so would have to find an alternate for that. (yes termy's have one i know). i think chevy waited to long to put it out and will suffer a bit for it. I think the SS package should have a 500hp option afterall it would take minimal work to get that. As, for me smokeing them next year thats in a straight line 1/4 mile race no twisties for me lol.

It's an ok looking car from pictures. Something need to be seen in person. As far as it smoking cobras or whatever, who cares. Everyone likes something different. I can see GM selling a lot of them.

See, the only reason i see them selling many of them is b/c its something different.... I mean, that's the only reason i would drive one... When the new mustangs came out, I hated the looks as much as i do now, but when i saw one on the street, i pointed it out - it was something different.. And no matter how ugly this car may look, I'll still be like "hey, a new camaro - sweet" .... But i really do hope that they look good in person!

I think after a while, they will grow on a lot of us. Especially once someone gets real nice wheels, tint etc on one. I'll say this, I kinda like these a little better, then I liked the 05 mustangs when they first came out. Time will tell.
