    indoor quarter tracks?

    well the season is over and i was just wondering why nobody has ever decided to just build an indoor heated track. im sure if it was operating year round that maybe they could get cars from all over. kinda like an stadium i guess

    They have one in the middle east, pretty cool. they also have an indoor snow skiing mountain, see what all that oil $$$ can buy.

    lol but they dont need one to get out of the cold weather in the middle east.

    there has been a few of these tracks over the years... i believe most of them were 1/8 mile

    Years ago one was in the planning stages to be built at the old airport. I think it was supposed to be a nascar track with a drag strip in the center... all under one roof.

    You might be able to build a covered track, even if you can tackle the ventilation problems. (Ever been to a truck pull at the arena? You'd see why ventalition would have to be top notch.) But then what about the pits? It would be close to impossible to cover all the pits, so if it rains or snows, cars would be bringing water up through the lanes to the starting line.

    Not that I wouldn't want to see it happen. But then I would never have any money, and no time to work on improvements.
