my svo has quad shocks and is a 7.5 don't know if that helps, but you will need to count the bolts to be sure.

if it can accomodate quad shocks there will be tall skinny brackets pointing up on the ends of the axle tube. i think they both did and both did not also?? some of my earlier foxes used slapper bars before the switched to quads in 83 or 85 or something ??

the 8.8 rear cover will be squarish with four flat sides, the 7.5 cover is smaller, more circular and have two flat sides

meh, more suareISH than the 7.5 anyway this is 8.8

83-86 turbo coupes had 7.5 rear and quad shocks (traction lok and 3.45 gears all transmissions).

    87/88 TC's got the 8.8 (3.55 gears for 5 speed, 3.73 with auto's, all t'lok)

FWIW, you also need to be aware the TC's had different length axles and housings in the early years. The 87/88 cars are fox housing width, but longer axles (swap in fox axles and call it done), the early cars are an odd combo of axle length and housing length.

Some other tidbits. Although they are quad shock rears, the pick-up points for the quads are different than the foxcars. To use the rear with quads, you need to re-drill the mounting holes on the housing (or put them in the trash where they belong.)

Maybe the bigger question, where is the TC you are trying to pirate ;)
