Here in Ohio, 2 kids were killed in Grafton " high rate of speed, lost control, hit a tree." I really feel for the families. I lost my 17 year old same way 11 years ago.

I was going to say it, but Troll beat me to it. This is terrible news, and its a good reminder that even seemingly harmless things like a burnout can go wrong in a big way. Be careful guys!

Truly a sad loss. I don't understand how it happened, but it was a needless accident that should have been avoided. Makes me think twice about how much I really appreciate life and my car.

I just can't believe he was goin fast enough to be killed, I very familiar with that road, and the distance he traveled was maybe a few 100 feet

Excactly why I don't understand. If you pull out of a lot and do a burnout, there has to be some point where you say "Woah, its getting out of control..." and let up on the gas.

Sad to see, and even worse when it's a young kid.

I don't really know the area, but I was thinking the same thing too. Must have just hit the wall at a bad angle. My little brother is 17 and just got a mustang, really makes me worry about him.

Well not saying a seatbelt would have saved him, but he wasn't wearing one. If I'm messing around in my car or not, I always wear it. As said it only takes one time. Most of us on here probably got away with it more than a dozen times. Some are not so lucky. Sorry to hear it.

It sucks living here in elizabeth and going to school and having 4 people killed while I was in school due to car wrecks was bad. I know exactly how these students feel. I havwe seen him driving his 5.0 around town alot this was not the first time he was goofin off in that car. I have been behind him in the h1 before flippin out cause tire rubber was hittin my front end. It sucks he didn't get another chance. But he has cheated it before until now from what I saw.

I drive like a nut too, we all do . I lost a few friends as we all have thats why I installed a six point with door bars and a five point harness. Its a shame what happened to the kid , these cars, our cars are not built to withstand any crash at speed ; they get there quick and they are fast but they are factory built commuters, my parents never wanted me to get a small v-8 car ,my first ride was a 70 buick GS , when I bought it I didnt tell them it was a 455 stage 1 . I split that car in half against a jersy barrier and walked away (big heavy car). My only question is WHAT are parents thinking will happen when they put there 17 year old kids into a car thats able to do 150 mph ? sorry to hear he paid the price way to young- RIP

im sure the parents are the ones hurting the most. Its a joke nowadays with parents letting their new to driving kids drive cars that are timebombs when in the hands of someone who can't control themselves. Sucks to hear but on the other hand i dont feel bad for the darwin award winners and feeling bad for every stupid kid out there that becomes a statistic is getting old. I feel for the family and friends more than the victim.
