Look at the company these candates keep. That is a great indicator as well!

Most people don't reflect upon the fact that the Democrats ruled Washington for over 40 years; it wasn't until 1994 when the so-called Gingrich Revolution changed - but only for a while. These same people do not realize that it was the Democrats who created the failed policies of the entitlement programs that are now falling apart before our eyes.

What sums up my feelings, why I am appalled by those in political power is contained within a quote by basketball legend and talk show host Charles Barkley: 'Poor people have been voting for Democrats for the last fifty years....and they are still poor.'

Now, with our elections, come yet more new promises of 'change:' 'change we can believe in,' 'hope for the future'. But if you really, I mean REALLY listen to what the new messiah is asking for, it is NOT 'change of policy' or 'change for the better' - this is a warning that he wants our change. And the change you will get will not be the change you expected or wanted.

Do not think I find the Republicans blameless in all this. They, too, suffer from the ego and greed built into our system. I agree that they shouldnt be obligated to pay more because they have been successful, but I also know that our working class is struggling to pay bills buy gas etc. ( on a sidenote, my mother and father started from nothing and built up a very successful business) so with that said, when I first looked at the issues I thought I liked mccains plan, because I felt the same way that you do that you shouldn't be punished for doing well, but the issue I have with it is, the rhetoric is good, but the reality is that just because a business is making more money does not mean they will hire more or pay more. Most businesses have a fixed cost (payroll, bills, etc) per month that they plan for and anything they make over top of those fixed cost is pure profit. so although it sounds like there will be more jobs created because there is a higher demand for goods/ service most companies will make do with the number of employees they already have and only hire if they absolutely have to.

I know it's somewhat of a generalization of the business world, but just my opinion on it

If a business does not grow it will definately not hire or create more jobs, however if it is allowed to grow and does'nt get taxed to the moon there is a very good chance it will create a job somewhere, either that business or another business will benefit and somewhere along the line jobs will be created.

it's the whole democrat and republican thing that ruins the election for me... why do you have to be on a side? why can't we be our own symbol of leadership without being a mascot for someone elses ideals. I think this country is so currupted that it doesn't matter who you chose. somewhere between feeling like your the answer to the nations problems, and becoming president... they all sell their soul to big names and bullsh1t.

There aren't many videos that do. For good reason. The only videos that Barry's goon squad comes up with all seem to relate to George Bush.

Here is the wonderful thought of the day, the Democrats are hoping to close on 60 seats in the senate - making them filibuster proof. The last time that happened Carter was in office & from what I understand - it wasn't good. I wasn't around so I don't know what it was like, but the programs that were created are still holding our country down today.
