    hey

    jus a quick question...would it be worth putting hood pins in a fiberglass hood? or is there a chance from them being in there and hitting bump and jus everyday driving the hood will get spider cracks in it? jus wanna check wat u all think b4 i do it thanx

    Its a real good idea for Hood pins. The scuff plates should keep the spider cracks away.

    i ran hood pins in all my hoods, steel and fiberglass. after i had one fly up on me.

    never had any issues with cracking on the fiberglass hoods.

    Put them in, I had one fly up on me and they almost totalled my car because of the damages. No spider cracks here either, just put tape on the hood when you drill the holes. Maybe on of the guys on here that paints can give you some pointers on it.

    I would def. install them. I have had them in my fiberglass hood for 2 years now with no problems, a little insurance goes a long way.


    MSD ignition/King Cobra clutch/Polished Cobra upper and lower/Ported GT40p w RR/ 70mm tb/ 24 lb injectors/ pullies/ Mac cold air/ Mac long tubes/ H pipe/ 3:73 gears/ 3g alt/ welded sub frames/ Alum driveshaft/ CC plates/125 shot of juice/custom trunk/suspension goodies.
