Because the planning usually started by now. We are about one month before the holiday parties start and I am just wondering how may places will be available. Then people have to see if what weekend works for the majority, etc...

I didn't word that very well.....

I was wondering if anything happened last yr to keep a repeat party from happening. I was there last year and had a good time. I figured it was a success, and being the 2nd sucess in a row, a repeat one would be a garuntee.

I know it's a lot of work for Lou but he's such a good organizer!

No party this year, I have enough on my plate policing the board, signing in new members manually, and all the Vendor BS on here lately. I started this board for everyone to enjoy and inturn is has become a full time charity for me. Vendors can't get along, they forward PMs of my conversation with them when it is no one elses business, people post innorant shit and couldn't give a shit. I spend atleast an hour a night maintaining the board and inturn receive about 1600 bucks a year. It all piles on my plate and im just full. Its sad because there are a ton of good peeps here.

Hey why not all chip in and rent some place? Get enough people together and it should work. All we need is someone or a few willing to do some legwork. I would help with some running and pitch in some money, cant do everything. What do you guys think? Or we can just crash a bar somewhere, Lol.

It sounds like you need some mods that are willing to help out and do most of that stuff. When I was a supermod on a bike site I used to frequent, we would all do the member approvals and such. All the mods should be doing stuff like that.

I am on and off this board all day long and most every night until midnight. Putting time in is an understatement. I do this by choice and make ZERO dollars to show for it.

The (super)mods are not given enough power to handle these types of things. It's up to Lou to make these types of changes and he has not offered that up to us.

PJ1 and myself have always helped out since the inception of SCS and nobody can say anything different. Many times PJ and I have set up cruises, picnics, and FLD days.

Someone else can step up and make the plans for a holiday party. There are a lot of others on here who need to step up and do something. It's about that time now..

FWIW, my friends and I that all hang together used to throw our Christmas party in January or February. It kept everyone free to meet family commitments during December, plus was something to look forward to in the winter.

Well, it depends on how far ya'll wana travel. I happen to know this really good cook. They probaly could get a decent price on a hall. It would either be in Mt.pleasant(15666) not the far east ones lol. Or bridgeport down by Mater. If that is an ok idea I can talk to her and see what she can do for us? So if we can get an idea of when and how many I could give a fairly close price as to how much to throw something.
