I think it really depends on your cat-back. I would use an X if you have straight-through muffs and an H if you have chambered muffs. That's just my opinion. The power diffs are nominal. There are all kinds of back to back to back tests in the mags and they're anywhere from 2-4hp diff. You'll get that running back to back dynos without changing anything.
Long tubes are night an day from shorties. ur car will sound deeper an louder. if u want loud an raspygo w or xpipe if u want more of an old school straight up muscle car sound go w hpipe. if i were u just go on youtube an look 4 vids w flows an long tubes to c wat u like an wat u dont like
does anybody have feedback from pypes headers? i took a look at them, theyre stainless and a little cheaper but i dont wanna buy junk? what do u think
Here is a video of my car getting tuned last year at pauls performance in Cincinnati. Not a very good video to show because it wasn't complete yet but you get the idea of how loud it is. You can literally hear it blocks away if your in the pedal at all. You have to hear this in person its extremely loud. Ended up with 568hp. It has ceramic coated bbk full length headers, flowmaster 3" outlaw mufflers, and 3" pipes no x or h pipe.

here's a thread with a vid of mine. bbk ceramic longtubes, bbk off-road x pipe and magnapacks. I've got a 1,000 or so miles on this set-up and it hasn't popped, snorted, farted or nothing on decel yet. The longtubes really smooth out the raspiness of the x-pipe. At least, in my application.
Don't mind Tremec's idea of a transmission.
