That still doesn't answer the question if this guy is playing "this week" or not... If the coach decides to keep his drug abusing ass on the bench then I don't want him in my starting line up...

here's the scoop from CBS Sportsline...

The Steelers won't further punish wide receiver Santonio Holmes for being charged last week with a marijuana-related offense and plan to start him Monday night in Washington. Holmes, who led the NFL in yards-per-catch last season, was benched for the Steelers' 21-14 loss Sunday to the Giants and was not in uniform. He was allowed to return to the team after speaking to his teammates and issuing a public apology on Monday. "As a football team and an organization, in terms of our view of the situation, we've laid it to bed," Tomlin said Tuesday. "Satisfactory action has been taken from our standpoint. ... For us, we're moving forward."

Holmes is also subject to further suspension for a possible violation of the NFL's drug policy. We'll keep you posted on that. In the meantime, expect him back for Week 9 but not likely to break out of his season-long slump even with a decent matchup against a banged-up Redskins secondary. View him as a No. 3 WR for the coming week's action.

yea he's playin. but i think its bullcrap he only got a fine for that. if it were anyone else they would have gotten arrested and charged with that crap,then there car impounded.

if the nfl boots him then he definatly deserves it.
