Twisted Wedge heads with e-cam...what rockers??

Well I finnaly decided to buy a set of trick flow CNC track heat heads. The problem I'm having is what ratio of roller rockers to get 1.6 or 1.7's with my e-cam?? My next question is what brand rockers would you go with? I like the Pro magnium's, but I only ever seen a listing for 1.6's. I need some idea's...thanks guys!

i would opt for the 1.7s, but are we talking stock pistons too? (that would make it similar to the 93 cobras, but with much better heads).

E cam with TFS CNC'd heads? There are many different cam choices out there that would make more power and retain driveablilty. Is this a 302 c.i.d. application?

I used to have a 85 Capri RS with the stock bottom end and a set of ported stock cast heads from power heads, "B" cam 1.7 rockers full mac exhaust and the stock 2.73's in the 7.5 rear. My friend had a 84 GT with a roller motor (90) twisted wedge heads, "F" cam and 1.6 rockers and 3.73's in a 8.8. My car would run 12.7 @115 to his 13.3 @ 106 (we even switched cars and got similar results).

if those heads have 2.02 or bigger valves you better use 1.6, the 1.7s may cause the valve to hit a piston... the stock piston eyebrows are cut for 1.87 valves

I know another cam would be better, but for now the e-cam will be fine for the power limitations of the stock block. Yes it is currently 302ci application with a 150hp shot of nitrous on her. This motor already ran good with AFR 185's her and I'd like to see how the trick flow heads work.

Ya I think I'm going to stay with the 1.6's. I've had really good luck with Pro Magniums rr and I'd like to stay with them. The guy I sold my old AFR 185's to, said he still had my old magniums and may trade me them back :)

Did you have the pistons flycut when the AFR 185's were employed? I have heard the stock HR cam can provide enough P-V clearance. Altering the valve events, ala custom cam, is also a viable choice for AFR 185 headed 302 oem shortblocks.

That is correct we ran the AFR 185 for over a season on a stock short block with stock pistons, an F cam, and 1.6rr. It was a strong combo that ran great with a 100hp shot of nitrous.

Correct as in no flycutting needed or correct as in flycutting was necessary?
