    Questions about nitrous

Im sure this topic has been brought up many of times, but I need some specifics about my car..Im concidering puttin the car on the bottle over winter as one of my projects...Whats better wet or dry? What brand? And do I need a tune? I have a diablo tuner, can someone just tune my car using that without puttin it on rollers? Thanks in advance

I believe Wet is the safer option. yes, i would recommend a tune, and maybe A focus svt fuel pump. Remember, i wouldnt push more than 100 shot.

I ran a dry Zex shot on my 95 5.0L GT for almost 4 years with no issues (besides a destroyed transmission- nitrous makes lots of torque). Dry kits work fine on cars with return style fuel systems.

I'm pretty sure Jper's car is a 99-04 GT with a returnless fuel system- also pretty sure that you're limited to running a wet kit because of this.

I had great luck with my Zex kit and recommend Zex to anyone. If I were you, I'd buy a 190 or 225 fuel pump as cheap insurance and drop it in before installing your kit. Don't spray more than 125 and you should be fine. You'll definitely want a remote bottle opener too (it makes it much more fun).

Ive heard that you can get away with tuning it yourself, BUT... if you screw it up...bad things will happen. The focus pump flows more fuel than ours (if i remember correctly). Pm Stieny on here. he had one with the focus pump, 100 shot and dyno tune, so he can give you more info than me.

    Tune no really needed.....

NOS = hp increase at flywheel
NX kit = hp increase at wheels
    ZEX = safest

you want to run a wet kit...

Just make sure its installed correctly.

Your tuner should use whatever he uses to tune your vehicle on the dyno, most i have seen use is SCT and once you get it tuned you have no more use for the diablo cause if you change anything what you just paid for went out the door.

nah. what he is saying is if you take it to a place they will put it on a dyno and make you a tune for your nitrous. Therefore they can tune everything right there and the diablo would be useless. Dynotune > Handheld. Most shops use SCT software, thats all.

I know a lot of people that run 100 shots without a tune. IMO you dont need it. I would get a reflash at most with your diablo. if you run stock injectors and a wet kit you should be fine I would do 75 for most normal use and then if you know someone will beat you before you race switch to 100.

75 wet shot--cheapest and most reliable with out a dyno tune ( and again you can use 100 shot every so often)

zex is easy to install and cheap
nx will get more power (some people say) and not to bad to install
I have done both. nitrous is fun....Boost is better.

o ya you can keep the stock fuel pump running 75 shot.
