Jper I had litteraly the same car. I ran stock fuel pump Zex wet kit 100 shot diablo tuner. I adjusted the timeing a lil and wot fuel a lil. I ran 3.73 gears. I was running 12.13's at 113-114. With a good tune I think it would broke 11's. Maybe 4.10's. You have to be careful of the lil backfires that happen sometimes. Twice to me and each time opening the hood was like waiting for a bomb to go off. I'd buy an aftermarket intake something simple like performance product aluminum version. Lil more reliable then factory plastic.

I pretty much agree. I home tuned my 5.0 on was fine for almost 4 years on a 125 shot.I know a lot of people that run 100 shots without a tune. IMO you dont need it.

Not a dry kit for a 4.6 you want a wet kit.

Ok, I'll give my opinion on N2O for I had it on my '00 GT when I had it.
I had a zex wet kit and I hated it!!! If I was to do it over again with N20 I would go NX. I had nothing but problems with the kit. That stupid box is more hassle then its worth. The "safety" thing that zex tries to sell is nothing more then that little box shutting down if it loses fuel pressure which you could easily solve by putting on a FPSS. It does not monitor your A/F like I hear a lot of people saying. It doesn't know when the motor is rich or lean. Mine, like many others that I have heard of, would keep shutting down when I would make a pass, or only spray fuel. I messed around with it so many times in the staging lanes and everything always checked out until I made a pass. Ask slow01, he can verify all the problems I had with mine. And I did install it correctly.
Now, on to the tune. I had the wet kit with all the safety features: FPSS, msd digital window switch, SVT Focus pump, colder plugs. I ran the stock injectors. I would recommend you get it to the dyno. I ran the 70 shot pills a few times on the street after I first put mine in just to make sure the kit was working.
I then took it out to what was then Kaufmans, now SGS, to have it tuned on a 125 shot. Yes, zex measures at the fly, so a 125 shot is similar to a 100 shot at the wheels. Even with a larger pump, I was still leaning out a lot on tip in. I got a SCT flip chip and Dave tuned two banks of the chip, one for advanced, non N2O driving and the other was retarded for the N20 runs.
Dave tuned out a lot of the tip in and got it to a safe A/F all the way through the rev range. I think my tip in was at around 13.0 -14.0 and went right down to about 11 - 11.5 to redline. He also checked the duty cycle on my injectors. They had plenty left in them because of my larger pump.
I would say to make sure you do it right. Short cuts cause problems with any power adder, especially with nitrous. I wouldn't chance it by assuming that your A/F is fine. I would have it checked and tuned. A SVT focus pump is cheap insurance and makes sure you don't run out of fuel. You don't want to lean out on nitrous.
Blowing apart your intake will happen with plastic or aluminum intakes. Its a chance you take with a wet kit. If the fuel puddles and your motor backfires igniting the fuel, it will blow apart any intake.
For numbers on the dyno, I just pulled out my dyno sheets.
My car put down: 252.58 rwhp/290.68 rwtq N/A. On a 125 shot it put down 361.26 rwhp/506.42 rwtq.
I have the videos if you'd like to see them as well as other pics of the install. I'm sure I'm forgetting things about my set up so if you think of any questions, feel free to ask.
