Also, because I didn't read your last post, with the returnless style fuel system, you will want to run a wet kit. Dry kits work best with return style fuel systems.

I'm not a fan of dry kits regardless though. To easy to lean out. I'll take my chances with puddling over a lean condition any day.

In case you guys are interested. I have a ZEX wet system for sale. Almost brand new and only had half a bottle sprayed before it was pulled. $350 takes it.

i dunno why you guys are saying a tune is NEEDED, unless the ford motors are just that touchy.. We have put spray on 3 cars so far with nothing less than 100 and there were no problems what so ever. And these were with the NOS kit.

A tune is not NEEDED, but would help but not that much.. No matter if you have a tune or not you miss a gear and smash the gas your motor is going to get strained no matter what if you have it on a WOT switch and if you have it on a button and miss a gear and hit that button same outcome. The motor may not blow but it will take some miles off of it.

    Just be smart with it.

Getting it tuned just gives you some safety in knowing you dont go lean. Plus it can give you that extra few ponies, which is always nice.

I ran the Zex with no issues or a SGs tune. Wish I would have had the tune and got a lil more out of the nitrous. I only ran a 100 shot was gonna move up to the 125 but never did. I ran the zex kit with a WOT switch and loved it. It ran pretty good just ask our local joe dirt(aka.Cecil) He still talks about it from what I hear about how he never lost to it 7 times lol.

Of course a N2O kit will work without a tune but I wouldn't do it. With a custom dyno tune, you can add fuel and adjust the A/F especially on tip in where A/F goes the most lean. I was amazed to see how my car was leaning out before the tune and how much Dave put back into it. Its going to make it more reliable all around and for a longer period of time.

If you're going to do it, do it right.
