def looks like a rotty/shep. very cute. Best thing to do at this age is mess with his paws, mouth, and ears every night. This way down the road at the vets you won't have a problem. Take it from someone who has been bit at work one too many times.

Good points there - also - take his chew toys from him while he's chewing - then give them back. And bug him a little while he is eating - pull his bowl away from him and pet him / play with him, then let him eat/drink some more.

I had a buddy who had to put his Pit down a few months ago because it bit a neighbor kid. The dog was really nice and playful - even good with his 3 year old niece. But for some reason it jumped on the neighbor and bit his shoulder. Poor little kid needed a few stitches - but it could have been worse.

I'll give a small suggestion - make sure everyone holds the puppy to the same standard...

I'm having that issue with my pup right now (Bailey)... She's now 7 months old, and getting bigger and stronger, and she has a bit of a listening problem with my girlfriend.... When she was young, i always told my g/f that she can fight with Bailey, but she better make sure Bailey knows when its time to quit and when you mean business.... Now she's bigger, and doesn't listen to my g/f... tries to yank her all around the yard when they're outside (has actually hurt her wrist) and also doesn't understand when its time to stop playing.... With me, if she's being bad, all i have to do is close the recliner - don't even have to stand up - she pins her ears back and immediately quits whatever she's doing - even runs behind the couch all scared ... And even then, all i have to do is tell her to get over here and sit down, and she will come out from behind the couch, all mopey and sit infront of me..... She's extremely well mannered for me and almost always listens... so i say to you, make sure everyone treats him/her the same so that he/she won't have the same issues during adolesence that mine is

Good Idea Our biggest thing is we dont want him pulling us all over the dam place when he is on a leash.
