    2010 Mustang unveiled

Surprised nobody else has mentioned this yet...

Introducing the 2010 Ford Mustang | Ford Vehicles
    order guide:

I'm pretty disappointed that that's the best Ford could do, and even took a few steps backwards with the styling, but at the same time I'm pretty glad that I won't be tempted to trade my '07 in on one any time soon.

I like the look, but WTF is with the power train options??? Still only a 3 valve 4.6 making 315hp? That's a joke when the new V6 camaro will be making 300hp. I guess the 6.XL engine has been scrapped, and I thought the V6 would get the 300hp version of the new ecoboost turbo engine.

word. LT1s made 300/340 in 1992. How much more emmissions and loss of MPG would a slightly bigger intake/exhaust valves and a little higher lift cam cause??? They could easily get 350hp out of that engine.

Autoblog has more pics including the new Kona Blue Mica which looks pretty sweet
    http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-...a2008/1163870/
    and grabber blue
    http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-...a2008/1163917/

I think they narrowed down the nose a little too tight. I do like that they went with more of the GT500/ concept shape in it, I think it is just a little too exaggerated. The V6 looks better with the piece around the grille painted to match the rest of the car. The hip definitely gives the profile more muscle but then it's just a mess from there back.... the plastic, bulky lines that don't flow and striped tail lamps just aren't doing it.

The pics of the grabber blue GT are growing on me though

Rumors are still swirling that the 5.0 makes its appearance in the '11

The more I think of it the madder I get. BOO FORD! 315hp is a joke in today's market, and the thing is still gaining weight, although its only a reported 35lbs, it needs to get lighter not heavier. I don't understand what ford is thinking lately. The fusion hybrid will be out this year, but ford won't release it with AWD.... BOO! The new Fiesta is available with a 65mpg diesel in Europe and yet ford isn't planning to bring it here... BOO! These are both vehicles I have anticipated and planned to look into buying one of these and now they are not coming with what I want.

Evrything is heavier...this stang will still weigh less than the camaro and the challenger. The new engines will be here before everyone knows it.

Why is Ford so stubborn to stick with 281ci? GM / Mopar been using 5.7 (346-350ci) and bigger forever for their "small blocks". At least, use the 5.4... that's 329/330ci (?).

I think my biggest complaint with the underpowered GT motor, is years before if you just wanted a somewhat quick V8 mustang, you could get a GT. If you wanted a hotter Mustang there were options like the Mach 1 and Cobra that were priced affordably. Now if you want a hotter factory Mustang you are stuck with a "tuner" version or a Shelby version, all of which are ridiculously overpriced for a Mustang. Sad times.

i like the look alot, but i dont get why they would release a new body without a new powertrain, they should have just waited until they had a motor for it. this makes me sad, i hate camaros. fords been behind the chevy since 92, i mean granted the 03-04 cobra was one of the best things they ever did and it owns all stock camaros to date. but in 05 with the latest mustang why the hell didnt they make the "cobra" (shelby) affordable and make lots of them!!! when chevy made the camaro they pumped as many ls1's out of the factory as possible and made them affordable. and every chevy guy compares their ls1 to a GT mustang espically now that the shelby is out of reach for the common person

    x2...

03/04 were the best years ever...you had the v6, GT, terminators, mach 1s, and if you wanted, they also had the lightning. Oh yeah and the mercury marauder and the SVT focus...those were the best years in my opinion. there isnt anything at all now its beat. WAKE UP FORD!

im personally just not a fan of the 3v motor, we have a 2v 4.6 mountaineer and ive drove 3v explorers and they dont seem to run as good as our older one. plus i got 21 mpg when i drove it to OC this year, i know the 3 valves are worse on gas. even when we had our lincoln mark LT it never felt like it had the power it should have

we supercharged a 05 GT for a customer and it ran great after we put the roush supercharger on it, but i really didnt drive it before to know how well it performed before we messed with it

Its ok, afterall the more into the future we live the more we will have to adjust to more futuristic styling. it could be worst I suppose. I do agree with the power theories yall had.
