    Exclamation ford racing crate engine???

Just curious what the quality of these are? Is it cost effective to go this route? Can they handle a small nitrous spray?

    thanks, Mike

    couple things

    450hp for $8900 is a waste

hope that block is bored 4.125 cause you can't build 347's out of boss blocks unless you bore them to them big due to them retards at ford making the cylinders shorter

For $8900 you can make ALOT more than 450 hp
    88 GT...and some boost

I believe FMS parts are overpriced for the performance, you might want to thumb through a mmff or 5.0&sf mag and call around. I think you can get bulletproof engines with higher quality parts and for a fraction of that cost, but thats JMO.

I agree you could probably do better at a good local builder.
As for the 347 in a Boss block, you can do it but you have to be smart with the pistons due to the shorter cylinder, which I agree is BS.
