I have a new project and have a couple of T5 questions. I have picked up a 1995 Cobra. So the T5 should have that special tapered input shaft bearing. The rear oil seal on the T5 (along with the engine's rear main seal) was leaking. I pulled the seal to replace it. But I don't remember how the yoke sleeve comes out of the tail section. I have the new yoke, bushing/sleeve, oil seal and u-joints.
So, how does the yoke sleeve come out?
Since the T5 is currently on the bench, should I replace the input shaft bearing? If so, is it a simple R&R or does it get shimmed?
