I have been looking into doing this on my car this winter and was wondering if anyone could tell me if a harness out of a 2000 contour svt would be the same as the harness required to wire a ford 6 cd changer in? I found a dash harness out of one cheap cheap and would like to snag it up if it would work to help in the conversion.

that would have fords old style radio plugs with a black plug and gray plug
this kind of plug is found in escapes, mountainers, explorers and is a single black plug. im not sure what year they quit using it, but i know some 2005 and up fords have another style of single plug that wont work either

OK Thanks alot I'll keep looking online to try and find a harness so I can adapt it
