i dont think there will be much performance difference between side pipes and full tails, i like the idea of 3" pipes though..

If you go w/ the standard Roush mufflers then yes there is a loss in power. They are pretty restrictive b/c of design.

The good thing about side exhaust is that it is loud.

But the bad thing about side exhaust is that it is loud.

I had side exiting exhaust on my '66 ( 3" pipes with Flowmasters ) and it was pretty brutal - if you happened to be driving on either side of my car. I loved it! Only reason I changed it was due to too little ground clearance. That's when I put a Flowmaster American Thunder system on the car. Sounded pretty good...and loud...

Then I had Tim remove the tailpipes and install some dump tips in front of the rear axle. Now it sounds PERFECT!!! Of course, it's still LOUD!!! But my 5.0 sounds like a big-block now!! Thanks Tim!!

12.76 @ 114.04 bone stock. Koni yellow coil-overs, BMR watts, LCA and LCA relo brackets, Borla S-type axle back.

1966 Coupe - 331 stroker - Bullet custom roller cam - cam and motor installed and dyno tuned by Rodeheavers Hot Rod - Astro A5 - McLeod RXT - 486 to the wheels - more fun than my little tires can handle

1966 Oldsmobile Toronado - currently NOT on jackstands

yEa thats what im thinking. slp lm1's are more than loud enough when there coming thru tailpipes out the back of the car. I couldnt imagine coming out of the side with no cats.
