they will be loud as heck, are you thinking of doing side skirts that the tips stick through??

i dont think there will be much performance difference between side pipes and full tails, i like the idea of 3" pipes though..

If you go w/ the standard Roush mufflers then yes there is a loss in power. They are pretty restrictive b/c of design.

The good thing about side exhaust is that it is loud.
But the bad thing about side exhaust is that it is loud.
I had side exiting exhaust on my '66 ( 3" pipes with Flowmasters ) and it was pretty brutal - if you happened to be driving on either side of my car. I loved it! Only reason I changed it was due to too little ground clearance. That's when I put a Flowmaster American Thunder system on the car. Sounded pretty good...and loud...
Then I had Tim remove the tailpipes and install some dump tips in front of the rear axle. Now it sounds PERFECT!!! Of course, it's still LOUD!!! But my 5.0 sounds like a big-block now!! Thanks Tim!!

thanks for the input... i like loud but i just hope it isnt too loud to the point that its annoying! im gonna give it a shot and see how it goes! i have flowmaster mufflers and a flowmaster catback on it now... well had i just took everything off and i liked the way it sounded i just want it to be a lil louder.
