Not to get to far off topic...but my camera does the same thing as the two shots of the City. Even with image stabilization on and trying to hold as still as possible. Why does it do that....or are we both just moving too much?
By the way....I love the rear on the car, looks cool as hell.

The picture in my sig was taken in a very dark parking lot. DSLRs are useless unless
you know how to use them. Practice. I couldn't use mine worth a crap either when
I first got it.
Car looks good, get some spacers for the rear & a shorty antenna & it'll look great :)
p.s. I'm with Dak. An alternative to the tripod is to have a talent for propping the camera up on the ground (or something solid) and adjust the aim with the strap. Don't ask me how I know this lol
u must c this car in person to fully respect it. its very tasteful w the looks etc. i agree w bo on the spacers an antenna........just make ur own.....better than mine of course lol
