Yo, What Up All?
Yo, what up all? I'm Brent Bubash from Natrona Heights Pa. I was basicly born a gear head. My dad was and still the original #'s matchin owner of a Midnight Blue 68' Charger R/T that he picked up the year it came out. Cleanest one you'll ever see! And a HUGH influence on me on why I am the way I am today.
Him and my mom's plus other family members we're religious NHRA and NASCAR followerz. We'd attend two or more events yearly. Hit up a few Fri. nights and World Of Outlaw events at Lernerville. We love hooked up cars/vehicles of all kinds, hittin up tons of car shows. The smell of high octane, racin gas/alcohol/nitro and the sound of raw power runnin was awesome!
From my late teens to early twenty's two of my uncles purchased Mustangs one got an early 60's fastback and my other uncle went thru a couple GT's from the year 2000 to 03'. His first 00' GT is the one in which I own today. I bought it off of him in 03' after graduating from Fullsail in Show Pro as a gift but drove it when I was at home on breaks. He really hooked me up with a deal I couldn' t pass up and it was an honor to have a Mustang. I never really thought I could afford one but it all worked out well.
First thing I did to it was lower it, make it look in proportion. I couldn't stand the Stang on stilts look. Put some Reverse Glow Gauges in it, painted my calipers. Drove it thru two winters which I regret, put a few dings on it. Got outta the loop of things.
After hearin about and starting to attend the Flashlight Drags and hittin up Pittsburgh Raceway Park a few times got me back in the groove. At this time in 06' to present I decided to to do some engine mods and fix what little body work it needed and do some interior/exterior work.
I got a cold air intake, pulleys, tuner chip, short shifter. I had the trunk lid and side emblems shaved. The side vents cut out to make'em look like they're real with black meshing. Billet racin gas cap to match my billet A/C knobs. White faced A/C to match my gauges. Painted and accented some of my interior pieces the same color as the car. Got some new head lights, black inside with clear corners. Plus little suttle things like turnin my inside mirror upside down, a little one footed antennae so my I Pod could still transmit.
I wanted a real clean but stock lookin Stang. No tint, I didn't want cobra wheels, lame vinyl inserts or Saleen ground effects or Mach or Roush this or that like everbody else. Unless its the real thing if ya know what I mean. Although I did get a set of Y2K Cobra R rims to store on for the winter. Cause I picked up a set of Drag Radials which I put on my stock rims. My best time at the track with street tires was mid 14.5 to 14.7s @ 94 to 96mph. With the Drag Radials I ran a best of 13.9 almost a 13.8 @ 98mph! I was pumped to get into the 13s before the end of the season.
Anyway, I heard alot about the Steel City Stangs and its great to finally have the chance to be a part of a Mustang Brotherhood. Sorry for the noval I wrote and blabberin on my part. Lookin forward to racin, cruisin and networking in the upcomin years. Take care and God Bless! PEACE 1bOoBz
