Max. rear tire / wheel size

Anyone out there know the maximum rear tire / wheel size you can use on a 1993 LX??? I have a 1.5" lowering springs and a stock 8.8 rear.

    Thanks.

slicks would check in around 26x10.50, you can fit bigger tires but you need to do a few things..
2015 A6 Mustang GT that so far has gone 9.48@147 but still the fastest prochargerd S550 in the world aside from Tim Essick's!

Not to confuse things Tim, but are you talking a true slick or an ET Street?? I suspect ET street as most slicks are even sized (9", 10")

To that point, I had 27-10.50-15 ET streets on 15 x 8" wheels (5.5 BS) on my Capri, and it was about as tight as it gets. Guys do run 15 x 10 wheels, but I cant see one ever working on my car (even with a BFH)

No real help for you on street tires, 245/50/16 is about as far as I've even pushed them on a fox.........

What's a quad shock??? LOL, I removed the quad shock brackets from this rear before it even went in the car. For sure they wouldnt fit on my car if it had quads.

On edit: By the way, those where ET Streets. I now run Hoosier QTP's in the "same" size, but they have way less sidewall bulge and maybe / possibly could fit with quads. Not sure (they are off the car if you wanna try a fit ;) )

ET street at launch, pretty clear here I wasnt getting away with much more ;)

I could probably go a little bigger now with the baseline suspensio nas it removed all that "squat"

I've had 315/35/17 Nitto DRs on 17x9 Cobra Rs w/ only outer fender rolling, no rubbing or problems also lowered about 1-1.5".
Also had 26x11.5x16 ET Streets on factory Ponies and 275/50 MT DRs on 15x10 Bogarts w/o problems.
My brother has 305/35/18 Nitto DRs on 18x10s w/ inner and outer fender clearencing, but expect rubbing lowered that much.
For any serious tire on a Fox you have to roll the outer lips, anything else is a waste of time.

    What size wheel?
You can do 15-18" if you know what you're doing.
