    engine build ideas

    this popped into my head...i have no idea how long itd last or even if it would.. or what kinda numbers it would see...4.6 with the new trickflow heads, a set of cams and either a saleen or a roush s/c (to keep costs down).. anyone think itd hold up or if its make some nice numbers?

    I think you should put a Cummins Twin-Turbo diesel into a chevy chevette.

    sure it would make nice numbers, with all the other needed parts to make it a great combo...

    That would be a good start if you want it to hold together. As well as long tubes ,tuneing, clutch etc.

    The car already needs a clutch...headers are expensive and apparently a pain to do....sounds like itd be easier to to headers when ya swap k-members

    If you need a clutch and want to do headers, probably easier to drop the engine/trans out the bottom and do it all together.
    Thats a nice parts list, you could even get away with the stock bottom end if you limit the boost and have a good tune while you save for a good bottom end.

    Yea i wanna try my bottom end till next winter till i can save and get a good shortblock.. i was thinking 9psi? but i dont know how safe that is..i need to hit the lotto and just buy a Gt500 supersnake and forget it... lol. but if i can sneak through the summer on my stock shortblock thatd be awesome. if not then i guess ill only be doing suspension and stupid stuff to it till i can afford a shortblock.
