The table saw we have in our prototype shop at work is a saw stop, it's saved quite a few guys' fingers over the years.
Only thing that sucks is it breaks a plate inside when it stops (i believe it is some piece of aluminum or something that the blade gets buried into). The replacement part isn't cheap...but really, how many times does it need to stop? Small price to pay for keeping your finger.
