    300zx trouble...

    well i never had one problem with my car before and the weirdest thing happend today. i went to pull it around my work to warm it up and it stalled on me for no reason. wouldn't start back up for no reason at all. so i was pissed.lol i pushed it in my shop and i tested for fuel. check... it was ok. pump was fine and it was flowing out of the filter. 2nd i tested spark. had spark on all 6 cly. and i know i didnt loose compression out of nowhere so it was really weird!. checked the cams they were spinning so i knew it wasnt a timing belt. no vaccum leaks filter clogs or nothing!! So i got my noid tester out to test the injector pulse and bam all 6 ok again! at this point im like wtf i figured it was the plugs or somthing... wrong they are all ok! well tried the injector pulse again and seemd to want to start up. I cranked it a couple times and fired right up pluged the injector harness back in and it ran fine. shut it off and started it up with no problems about 10 times. it seems to be ok now but does anybody have any idea why it would do this?? I asked the lead tech at work and he said he never seen anything like it.

    its pissed at you lol

    i dunno though that is weird you checked everything then it started workin... maybe cpu is going bad? probably not but i dont know what else to think of that

    oh noes! that's real weird though that all that crap checks out & it was acting up. Sometimes electronic gremlins happen though. my 1.8T sounded like it had the meanest freaking cam ever if there was a huge temp/pressure change from hot to cold, dealership could never figure out why either.. which is funny, because it wasn't even running on audi software at that point and they didn't notice that either.

    does your car have anything that can fail like a fuel rail pressure sensor that could go bad that you'd need a scanner to notice the difference? (ex: it will be blown if it just pegs at 75psi for my car, should be around 30-32 psi when it is good iirc - despite that it doesn't show up as a trouble code)

    Those got high or low Z injectors?? If plugging the noid in really did anything, it sounds like a ground issue . Is the injector harness on those seperate from the main harness? Seperate ground at that harness??

    ground? check engine light on? sensor? bad gas?

    buddy of mine's car stalled on him, he thought the timing belt went, would just crank and not start, he just had bad gas. he drained the tank refilled it with new gas and started right up and hasent had any issues since.

    Ya could be gas. I still have had no problems with it
