    A couple things for sale

I have a set of M/T Drag slicks 26X10X15. These slicks are brand new. No joke they were bought and mounted in Aug and taken off in Sept. They were used less then a hand full of times and worked great. They were taken off to go to a taller tire. I bought from Summit for $380 with shipping. I'll take $180 for them SAVE $200.

Also I have a MAC offroad H pipe that I will sell if anyone is interested.

Mike is not lying when he says a handful of runs. How do I know? I'm the pit beotch who took the wheels off, went to R&R Tire, had the 26x10s mounted, back to the track to put them on... only to do the same thing a month later, all over again, to go to a 27x9. :D This is a heckuva deal for someone who needs slicks.

Mike- (even if they sold) How tight of a fit where these on your car? Assuming you are using a 15x8 - 5.5 BS wheel, how close to the outer lip? I have been runningthe 27-10.50 ET Streets / Hoosiers, but the hooiers are only 9" tread face, and the ET streets rubbed ever so slight on the outside. On the capri I have just a little less room on the outside than you do on a Mustang. Seeing you went ot a 27x9 I wonder if it was too close for you too?

I had no problem with the 26X10's other then the inner wheel well which I just took the BFH to fix it. My outer lip has never been touched. The only reason I went to the 28X9 is because they are only 27.3 inches tall. The 28X10 is a true 28 inches tall which rubbed the ground effects in front and back of the wheel. I can't remember exactly but I believe I had atleast a 1/2 inch of clearance to the lip.

Bob, it felt perversely gooooooood to lay into the ground effects with my cutoff wheel to fit the 27x9s a little better without the rub.

These cars are so odd... 27" tall ET streets and QTP's fit my car with no rub front or back, but I'm sure a 28" would rub on the big end. My 9" tread QTP's are fine, but the ET Streets scuffed a little on the outside.

I wish I had better confidence these would fit on mine Mike. Smoking deal, and I am thinking about moving to a real slick for this year. Let me look into it a little more.

Ok Bob just let me know. I was just gonna keep them before I let them any cheaper. When I switched from the QTP's to a real slick I couldn't believe the difference.

Bob... BFH rules!! :D As does a cutting wheel!

It took some convincing to get Mike to go to a straight slick. I think the QTP sidewalls were giving up the fight, even though they had plenty of tread, and he needed the full contact patch for how hard he hits the tires in the 60'.
