    Power steering delete

Ok, so my power steering pump definately went, and its annoying as hell because it whines and makes a shit ton of noise. I honestly could care less if I have it or not, because I dont have it now, and I dont struggle too much, and dont feel like spending the money on a new one, so Im just thinking about taking it out. Any suggestions on this? Anyone have experiance?

After reading a bit more on other forums Im finding things about a manual steering components and some other stuff..Not sure exactly what this is, but I seen some of it cost some decent money.

just buy a new pump...ford power steering pumps suck on every single ford vehicle ever made. just get a new one. your car will be a pain in the ass to drive with stock size wheels/tires and the power rack without the pump

if you delete your power steering your going to need a new rack. go to pepboys and buy a new pump. its not hard to change. youll really be doing yourself a favor by doing that. specialy with a DD

You can just disconnect the lines to your rack, remove your pump and re-route the belt if you're looking for the easiest/cheapest route.

don't forget if you delete the p/s you also have to delete the power brakes as they run off the p/s also. I guess what I'm saying is just put a new p/s pump on (if thats really the problem & not something else causing the noise. why I say that is you would instantly know if the pump went all the way cause not only would you have a heck of a time steering at very low speeds the brakes would be very stiff also)
