    Are you serious?

nothing like 500% markup ?!?! did he offer some for your butthole, too? WTF?

Rodeheaver's has a special in his section... I think it's like $400-$450 for parts AND labor.

Not all the time. It cost me $0 to do gears in my 07. I had gears laying around and I did it myself. Ohh, and lube n friction modifier were free from my brother the ford parts manager.....lol

He didn't pay to much IMO, especially if they were done right! Gears can be a real pain in the a$$, there is a lot more to them then just swapping everything over and calling it good!

not obligated cause my car is new, never even thought of it that way. just didn't know of anywhere else to get it done right. everytime i have some1 do something for me they f**k it up. i watched dealer bend 2 of my front foose wheels, they paid me $600 for new wheels. nitto 555 that were sold me at $200 a piece turned out to be blems and the off road shop that sold them to me blamed the out-of-roundness on the bend rims even after new wheels were purchased. watched dealer drive my car into a fileing cabinet to do emissions, watch a construction comp. out of vandergrift totally screw up my bathroom by nailing the new tub to the wall with the tub off the floor, solution; spray expansion foam thru a wall and to under the tub. now it squeeks like a s.o.b. i got plenty more!! just want something done RIGHT!!! GET IT!!!

That price is a bit steep, but not too crazy if it was a top notch install from a top notch shop. The main reason it could have been a mistake is that ASAP has hands down the worst reputation of any shop in this area. I wouldn't let them work on a bicycle from the horror stories I have heard about them.

i will never again. when i got back early to pick up my car he was training some new kid on the install. he was telling him what to do then he would walk away and then come back and check on him. but the install seems good. he said backlash was .009 and wear pattern was in the middle.
