ive heard that the systemax is better for superchargers/turbos/nitrous and not so well for naturally aspirated cars...but i havent had any experience with it so i guess i cant really say anything

mostly street car and would like a good 300-350 HP (or more if possible with my setup being naturally aspirated)

    My setup right now is:
    stock block .30 over
    eagle hypereutectic pistons
    stock crank
    b303 cam

    once again, what price range?
we could build ya a really wild setup, but something more mild in an more economic price range.

to get 300rwhp, thats not hard anymore, 350rwhp is a bit harder.

for 300rwhp, just about any heads/cam/intake setup is gonna get ya there.

    for 350rwhp, i would use afr 185s/TFS R intake, custom cam, 30# injectors, 75mm t-body and a 80mm Pro-m.

I'm going to be doing my swap in a few weeks or when I get some time on my 91LX. I'm going with Trick flow track heat 185 CNC heads with a holley systemax intake. Depending on your funds, Trick flow has a nice kit that comes with heads, intake, cam, etc. From what I've seen on the dyno the kit does really well.

B-cam, gt-40 intake and cast gt-40 heads could get you 300 hp, Joe Dasilva was doin it in the early 90's and the cars were goin high 11's low 12's with his tune.

GT 40 heads and cobra intakes can be had cheap, but I would go with the systemax and either tfs or afr heads to leave room for growth, but it all depends on what your ultimate goal is for the car.

Pure Stock runs one on his N/A combo and he attributes the Systemax to getting his car into the 10's.

I like my Trick Flow top end. 2.02 TW heads. Track Heat intake. Match that with a nice TF cam and it will rock! Send that stuff down to Fox Lake and it will be even better!

yeah, that gt40 setup is a very nice one. you can find some cobra intakes, ported, for 300-350... depends on how much its ported. you could do that setup for less than 700, maybe a bit more if you get the factory 1.7 cobra rockers.

Just go to a junk yard and look for a 98-01 Mountineer or Exploder. That I what I am doing for my Vert. Cheap way to get some fresh power.
