    1991 mustang gt problem

    car will fire right up in morning an run great but as soon as u shut it off it wont start you gotta hold it to the floor to fire back up but sometimes it wont start at all? i changed collant temp sensor,module on distributor,new plugs wires cap rotor button but still no better also it got a bout 38 psi fuel pressure any suggestions what to do next!

    i didnt see new dist. on that list of things, my guess is the pip pickup in the dist. Ive heard its a real bitch to do, so the easiest thing is to get a new dist. (or used that is good)

    the problem with the car is it is too rich at startup

    did you change the temp sensor in the coolant crossover pipe?

    no i didnt change the one in crossover pipe i will try that

    yes, the one in the intake is for the guage, the one in the cross over pipe is for the ecu..

    yea the sensor in the intake is for the gauge

    I had the same problem as you and it was the sensor in the pipe.I actually had the wrong plug on it and switched the plug back and worked fine

    I read that this symptom could be caused by an ECT (Engine Coolant Temp) sensor.
    03 Cobra redfire vert - 466 rwhp / 456 rwtq

    A couple other things it could be EEC relay, fuel pump relay. When it won't start does it have spark and or fuel pressure?
