    Question applying vinyl graphics

I just ordered my vinyl SVO inserts for my sideskirts, anyone know how to apply the vinyl stickers, any pointers should I just have a shop do this?

    thanks, Mike

Not sure if this will help you but I found this on American Muscle.

50/50 mix Water & Alcohol in a squirt (Fine Spray) bottle & a new rubber (small Sq) Squeegee..

Peel off the backing spray it so it soaking/dripping do the same to the body side they you can move the vinyl to where you need it then rubber Squeegee the water & air bubbles out it's done..

The Helicopter N Numbers were done with the method above...

Same as above but you can also use a small spray bottle of water and a drop or 2 of dish soap. once decals are in place and air bubbles are removed you can apply heat using a heat gun or hair dryer to seal the deal and dry any moisture left behind decals. Plus the heat will allow the sticker form around any edges or curves. If you do happen to get any bubbles just poke them with a straight pin and apply heat.

Hope this helps you. It's not that hard and shops charge way to much for this type of work.

Who did you order them from? Was it Tom Clark? If so, I helped him develop those

Just make sure the area is super clean, be careful with the squeegees, sometimes they can scratch the decal surface.

they arent that hard at all to do, if you take your time and go slow you can do it with no water, and if you do it with the water, leave them dry for 3-4 hours before messing with them and get as much water from under them as possible..

I installed them myself, didn't use water. Using water is more forgiving because it gives you a chance to position the decal though. I just have a pretty steady hand and can eyeball the alignment pretty well so I didn't use any water (I worked at a tint/vinyl graphics/detailing shop in highschool).

Who at Tom Clark would I have to speak with to order stripes for the bumpers on my stang?

It's the same person, Tom Clark is a guy (from NY) who cuts vinyl graphics. If you want to get in contact withhim, look him up on svtperformance.com or stangnet.com, his user name is 69clark. He is a good guy, he's cut many vinyls for me and I even bought my wheels from him a few years ago. Met him several times at Carlisle.

No, I'm pretty sure he's never even been to this general area lol. He manages some kind of business in NY and does vinyl graphics on the side. I thought pop's was assuming Tom Clark was a business, not a guy.
