    Enough!

    I been kicking around the idea of a S/C for my 02.I was going to do the tork tech kit with the eaton but then I had a thought,why do all the cobra owners swap the eatons.So Im just going to buy a kit for the 00-04.It seems that it would be less of a headach to buy a kit.im prob gona look for a used kit.So with that said im looking for any S/C kit for my car used or new so let me know who has what and how much.and also for you guys views.I been getn alot of usefull info from you guys.I gota find out away to show my appreceation(spelled wrong)maybe when it warms up Ill throw a cook out or something cuz my stang would be a Fu*king train wreck without you guys

    what kind you looking for a KB?

    Honestly look into that hellion turbo kit if you want big numbers thats in the for sale section

    +1, there is one on the boards cheap, I think he wants 4k for. Thats as much as you would pay for a blower.

    Im looking for a vortech,procharger,KB,whipple dont really wana go the turbo route.seems like they are to much coin and arent very user friendly but I maybe wrong.I know a dude selling a hellion kit.but id rather go S/C.pref used due to after xmas debt

    Yea man this is crazy i didnt think it was gona be this hard.I just want like 350-400hp I dont think thats asking alot,but theres so many ways to go.

    Vortech Mongoose kit will give you those numbers. I think There was a vendor here that had deals on vortechs.

    I was thinking that to maybe a KB but then I seen the tork tech kit which uses the eaton M112 which price wise wasnt that bad.but my sons god dad has a shop and would do all my work so the install would be free so i save a couple bucks there.and i still have a warrnty so people were telling me centri would be easier to take off (incase) something happend.so as you can see my problem is real deep.cuz I want the numbers,dont wana spend to much and want a good blower

    the roots style are the sickest thing ever for a street car, they make it SSSOOOOOO much fun to drive on the street, instant boost is sheer pleasure..

    but where can I get a used roots style.I aloso found a post on mustangfourms.com where you can do the vortech S-trim for 1500 and he explains every part you need and give you the website to get the parts

    Dont forget about all the little things that add up fast when installing a blower. Even the cost of the tune can be expensive if something doesnt go quite right. Fuel pumps, injectors, mass air meter, all add up quickly. There really is no "cheap" way around it. Then if you do go used you have to worry about it being some POS.

    Yea I see what you are sayin I thought about all those possabilties.Im thinking im just going try it and see what happens

    Not that I know crap about the tork tech kit, but I think your answer is in these points. The Cobra guys upgrade becasue they are going bigger than your goals.

    Pick you goal and build to that goal. If the Eaton will do it, why spend more? If your goals are going to grow, well then it might not be right. It's like turbo selection in my world. I see guys all the time get caught up in big turbo's when a "stock" type turbo would have met every one of their goals and the extra could have been spent somewhere else. Just something to think about, like I said, I dont know crap about the kits you are discussing.

    vortech/procharger is prob the easiest way to go. easy to install. less of a headache to purchase than put together a roots style. but like bob said go with your goal pick what you want and do it right. dont cut conners or it will bite you in the ass.

    Yea I dont wana be cheap about it.Im still looking for a used KB I never can find a whipple for a 2v.theres a guy selling a roushcharger on svtperformance for 2500 and it comes with everything all i would have to do is get it tuned.

    very good point right here, its not necessarily the blower unit itself that is expensive. its the little things that NEED to go with it, and a tune and so on and so forth. The only advice i have been given with cars that holds true every single time is you get what you pay for.

    i can tell you both from experience that you want 350-400 horsepower now. as soon as you get it you will want more.

    i bought a used 1.7 two summers ago and love it, but this summer ill be forging my motor and tryin to sqeeze all out of that little thing until i can afford a 2.6 or bigger.

    my advice, buy the biggest thing you'll want and save yourself the hassle

    IMHO the KB 2.1 kit gives you the most room to grow...the tork tech is a very well thought out kit minus the hood part of the deal
