    New toy

    Just picked up a new-to-me toy.

    An old 1989 CBR600 Hurricane. Never rode any crotch rockets till this one. The fairings are well...fair. Needs a few odds and ends, but overall runs good and is all there. For a 600 this bike feels fast just in first/second gear. It only cost me 700 Jr bacon cheeseburgers to boot!

    ha ha pics made my day. I had an '90 Honda VTR250, then I moved up to a '93 cbr 600 f2. both were red,white,blue combo.

    Be careful since this is your first "crotch rocket". Watch out for the paris hilton wannabe in a ford excursion with a little dog in one hand, a cell-phone in the other, while trying to pull her underwear off at the same time.

    edit: how many miles?

    The chassis has 24k on it. Prev owner had some compression loss on the original engine and replaced it with another that supposedly had 11k on it. He did give me the original complete longblock w/tranny!
    KB if I had the cash, i'd buy it. HMMMMM......... maybe I can talk ViperEd into buying it......

    For those that don't see a whole lot of TV, the bike was $700.

    2 years ago I sold my '02 Sportster to buy the '70 Chevelle. Needed something on 2 wheels again. This is the description I had on another site. I wrecked it in fall of '02 rebuilt it to what you see here in spring of '03.
    DESCRIPTION: Here is the first 240mm tired Sportster that I know of. I refabbed a kit that fit a 230mm tire. The company I purchased the intial kit from now offers a 240mm kit (TN Racing), but none existed until mine. ;). The rearend half was reworked along with a wideglide frontend, larger tank, wider handlebars, etc. Everything you see on the bike was either fabbed or installed by me. After 2 months of cutting, welding, painting, its done. Rides great, it can still be layed down to drag the pegs if I want. The bikes gets alot of looks and questions in the 'Burgh.

    That barely hurt! Anyway, I been feeling way more "F' it" in the last 3 monthes and 2 days.

    I figure I have 3 options;

    1)Ride the crap outta it

    2)Prolly be able to sell it for almost double what I paid for it.

    3)Maybe trade somethin' for it.
