What's wrong with my clutch lever? Its just the way I like it! Hell, I'm even fine with it being a bit shorter... Only needs to be long enough to get 2 fingers on it! haha. The clutch lever on my RM was much shorter.

The bike came with bark-busters, which i absolutely hate, so i took them off. The bark busters are the reason the little "ball" on the end of the clutch lever is cut off - it wouldn't be able to fit.

Yea, the frame is already polished, it just needs some shining - I'm well versed on that shit, being that everything on my TL-R was polished.... I do a lot of riding in the winter, but now that it appears like some big snow has come, i probably won't be riding for a while - which will give me plenty of time to get all of that polished up to a nice shine!

Eh, don't let my decision keep you from getting the same setup!! BTW, i still want to head to the track a BUNCH of times with you this year - if ya don't mind of course! I feel very confident in my riding ability, but as you know, i've never been on a track, and i'm not dumb enough to think that i can go out there and rip it up without some advice/pointers from someone such as yourself!

If you need aluminum polish, I have some badass stuff up at the shop I can get for you, makes it look like chrome.

That'd be cool man! I have basic Mothers' Mag/Aluminum polish, but new products are always welcome!

Yea that bike should sell for probably 3500 or so...

As far as me riding it, yes, i had the bike for about a month before i posted it up on here.... I was waiting to post it up because I knew i was putting new graphics on it... I don't have a yard on Neville Island - but I had it out 3 of the first 4 weekends i owned it, one ride of which was about 6 hours..... I haven't had it out since i got the new graphics on it though:(

And yes, its driving me absolutely nutz pulling the truck in the garage every day and looking over to see it sitting there - I really look forward to the deep snow going away and getting it out again!!

When I had my '03 YZ 250, I rode with a guy on an '02 CR450. I know those bikes have made major strides in power and rideability since then, but the 2 and 4 strokes power was right on par with each other. BUT, totally opposite in delivery. We would switch and praise the hell out of the other bike, then get back on our own and be just as happy. Weird.

These things are $8 large brand new. I'd love to ride one.

Yea, the 450 is pretty equal in power to my RM265, but the power delivery is sooo different, that there would need to be a drastic difference in power to be able to be able to definitively say one was more powerful than the other... When i had the 265 big bore kit done on the RM, it got a TON of bottom end - as well as gaining power everywhere.... so the biggest difference i can feel is the traction... when the powerband kicked in on the 265, you always had a bit of spinnage - the 450 feels dead hooked at all times.... I've spoke with a couple different guys that said that when they switched from 250 to 450 on the MX track, they damn near looped the 450, b/c where they were used to cracking the throttle, and the rear wheel sliding its way to the rut, the 450 would just straight grab and send the front end sky-high...

I 100% understand what you and your buddy were feeling - If i had both my RM and the CRF, i'd absolutely love both - they both have their unique characteristics that make them a total blast in their own way....

    I can't view the link b/c i'm at work...

It's a 2003 Service Honda CR 500AF. It's on craigslist in Freedom, PA. He claims 16 hours. $5,000.

Nice... I have seen a bunch of video's of these online but haven't ever really looked into them at all...

I'm guessing that its a CR500 motor in a newer 4stroke MXer frame.... that would definitely make for one BAD motorcycle, but don't think it'd be that much fun to ride for an extended period of time in the woods... I wouldnt mind testing my hypothesis though :D
