    It's greek to me!

    Guys and Gals,
This stuff is all greek to me. Saw this on another forum. A guy upgraded his 05 V6 stang with this exhausted. Is this something that I would want to do to mine? Don't have a clue what he is talking about. As you can tell, im not much of a car guy.

True dual exhaust with GT take offs
    BBK CAI
SCT Xcal2 with Bamachips 93 race tune

And if so what would be the cost? Advise is welcome.

the bbk is the air intake, basic 1st bolt on most people do, gives you an extra 15 or so horse power, the sct is a tuner chip, and the exhaust is dual pipes instead of a single pipe, good mod to do, makes it sound meaner, and will add some horsepower

also cost will depend on what you get/ quality etc. bbk is a decent company, prob a good product for the price, as far as exhaust price will depend again on the quality and what you want, shorties, mids, or long tube headers, what type of mid pipe and cat back

If you are gonna do headers, the longtubes are the way to go..
2015 A6 Mustang GT that so far has gone 9.48@147 but still the fastest prochargerd S550 in the world aside from Tim Essick's!

it all depends, dont really know what all is available for your model n year, but longtubes I believe will give you the most hp, but can have issuse with scraping so if it is a daily driver you may want to check before you decide. check out american muscle.com or just google your car then exhaust and look around just to see whats out there. also checl laurelmountainmustang.com they seem to have some of the best prices on parts.

I have the factory mufflers from my '07 GT with less than 400 miles on them if you're interested. They're the CS/ gt appearance package ones so they have the nice chrome rolled tips.

The guy down the street from me had the same ones on his '05 v6 and while it was definitely no v8 rumble, it sounded pretty impressive

The guy i was talking about on the other fourm sent me this video of his upgrade. If I could get my car to sounds like this I would be happy!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhQmg...e=channel_page

He also said that he set his tuner to idle his car in park and drive at about 1000 RPMs instead of 750 or so cause it has a nicer rumble.

An axle back is pretty much what it sounds like; it's the part of your exhaust from the axle the rest of the way back, just like a cat back is from your catalytic converters back so they include the mufflers and whatever piping you need to get from the cat to the rear of the car. On the s197, the mufflers are right after the axle so you get the muffler, hangers, tips, and the necessary piping to line up with the over axle pipe.
