What's up with the Pens?

Conklin shut us out the other day.

Hossa helped take us to the finals, thats why I mention him. Those are just a few players we lost. Hall, sydor(sp?), Laraque. Alot of new faces came through this year. Playing some sports through my life I know after playing with select people over a period of time you're that much better. There is no doubt therrian could have done a little better but would anyone else have done any better? I guess time will tell. We do have more of a complete team with gonch back, fedatanko, these hockey names suck trying to spell...Lol.

No doubt Conklin is a decent goaltender. My point was that he didn't do all that much for us. He had a hot streak and then was replaced with Fleury with who we rode out the playoffs with.

I agree we've battled with injury and chemistry all year. Hopefully that is something that we can leave in the past and battle into the playoffs with the last 25 games.

i am hoping there is some way shero can get alexei kovalev out of montreal and put him on sids wing

give them anything they want except of course 87 and 71

the only problem i see is that montreal is currently in the playoffs and probably does not want to trade with us, but hopefully whatever issue they have with kovalev will override that

i also see colby coming back to play with sid

I would love to get Kovalev but I don't think they will pull that together.

I hope they don't bring back Colby. He was one of my favorite players but he is not the answer to our problems.

im holding out for kovalchuk...i know atlanta has said he is off the table but i think you call their bluff anyways...

as much as i think staal is going to be a great player, and whitney has alot of upside as he is getting right into his prime, and still trying to get back from his injury...these two guys are the ticket to land a wing for crosby...(plus i just cant watch whitney anymore this season, its painfull)

i dont know how much longer i can watch crosby play with kennedy, cooke, or feds...seriously...kennedy and cooke are great 3rd and 4th line guys...but come on...enough is enough...feds i dont know...he is another 3rd line guy

satan should be on crosbys line untill you bring in "that guy"...it doesnt matter what we see as lazy, or out of it...i have read alot of articles and everyone says the same things about him...he is sneaky...deceptive...and just knows how to score goals! put him with the guys on this team that can get him the puck!

that being said, i like every player i mentioned here...so dont start ripping on me for putting down anyone...it is what it is...and i think if you want to get a big name guy you need to give up some talent, which the pens can afford to do...(staal, whitney)

i think therrien did a great job for what he could do here, but i think the time was right to move on as well...unless no trades are made and then you might as well of just let this season ride itself out and stand pat with the talent you have and go forward as you saw fit over the summer...unless you just couldnt take it anymore from where shero was sitting and this was your only option...either way, shero has put himself on the hot seat now!

I will not bash here because I agree 100%. We have talent but not the right talent to work with who we have. I would also have to think Bylsma working with his new team a little longer than a day should be a little more put together tonight, although my predictions are always the exact opposite of what happens, Lol.
