Just a correction on what I said earlier: a win today does put us in 8th. I was looking at old stats for some reason.

Florida looks like they're going to pull off a big win though.

thats what i checked, so i knew if we won we would be back in...i just hope they continue to play like they have been! i knew orpik was up there in hit, but good for cooke...i am hard on him but nice to see him up there too...

Yea, I have a bunch of sports apps on my iPhone and that's what I use. I was skiiing last night and checked the scores and got pumped. I just forgot that the standings weren't updated yet and I didn't check today before the game.

I did see cookie up there in hits. I was glad to see him have that stat. I think he works hard every game.

ESPN just reported a few hours ago that last night they heard about the Pens talking with Ottawa about getting Ruutu back.

Should be interesting to see if that goes anywhere.

plus we could have kept ruutu before the season w/o giving up anyone now

i do not think we have the cap room to add him as of right now

I agree with you on Cooke. I think he does a good job. Ruutu filled that role better but Cooke has worked out well. Just reporting what I've heard/read.

Also, we would have cap room to make some other moves if they would get rid of Staal! haha
