Crosby finally has some good 1st line wings to play with, not quite as big a scoring threat as Hossa (ok not really close at all haha), but Kunitz brings more scoring to the table than Dupuis did when it was Hossa, Crosby and Dupuis.

    Guerin, Crosby, Kunitz...I like it...alot!

In fact, I like all our lines now. Very balanced, and that third line is going to be very tough for the other teams 1st line to play against. I still think Staal can bring in a top guy for Crosby to play with for years to come, but I think after looking at the only really affordable guy being Frolov, after his 30+ goals he would get next year with playing on Crosbys line...his price tag would be to rich for the Penguins to take on. Shero did the right thing by holding onto him right now, and you shop him in the summer...

I think its all on Fleury to carry us into and through the playoffs now. The other obvious thing is the power play needs to wake up, and I think now it will.

They got rid of the weak link in the defense, they added depth, scoring, grit and veteran leadership to the offense...all while adding to the baby pens as well! Now its time for Fleury to catch fire and start standing on his head. Show them what your worth Fleury...we all have seen it at times and last year was a prime example...

I'm fired up, LETS GO PENS!

    In Shero we trust!
That sums it up pretty well for me. In Shero we DO trust!!!

I do like the moves. I still would like to see Staal gone but he has been playing better. I hope he can continue. We do turn now to Fleury. I hope he can have a run like he did last year. I know he's capable, he just needs to do it.

Has anyone noticed how fluery plays how his team plays around him? Last few games I think he's made some pretty damn nice saves. When we were in our slump, he looked like ass. Granted our D was pathetic but alot of soft goals were getting past him. I hope it's our time to peak, and what better time??

The only thing I like about keeping Staal, is that over the summer they can shop him. Its fairly obvious he wants to be a top 2 center, and pretty much on every other team in the NHL he is...just not here. He can bring in some much needed bodies in a trade over the summer when you are in real need of something.

I don't see them making a deal with Guerin after the season is over, and I think Sykora is going to be gone as well. I hope they end up keeping Sykora, he is one of my favorites, and he plays well on that second line with Malkin.

Again, Shero has been money so whatever he does I'm down for. What choice do I have?

The offseason is going to be very interesting...wait what am I doing...its not even the playoffs yet!

When I think back this season, alot of those soft goals were flukey kind of goals as well. But I think your right, his defense was bad and he wasnt playing well.

When you look at some of the other saves he was making standing on his head, it really made you wonder what was going on...he was very streaky this season...of course who on the Pens besides Malkin and Crosby wasnt streaky...

How the hell are they both in the top 3 for scoring?

What do you guys think about us getting Craig Adams off of waivers from Chicago?

    I like the pick up.

I would think Godard is the odd man out? I like him, but if there no heavy weight to fight what is the point...which is a whole other topic to discuss. This whole heavy weight fighter thing the NHL has going on is really lame.

4th line will be Kennedy, Talbot, Adams...those guys will be flying all over the ice!

    Yes it is....

Anyways, I think Godard can sit for awhile. With a strong, physical top line offense (Kunitz, Guerin), I think the lack of Godard would be fine. Plus we have guys that hit like Cooke, TK, and Orpik too.

I am fine with Godard sitting...its just a preview of what the playoff roster would look like.

No one dresses a fighter in the playoffs anyways, unless you think your going to need him. (Flyers, Caps, etc...)

Even at that Guerin is willing to throw down, Cooke and Kunitz are not afraid to pop somone. I think they are fine dressing Godard out of need, not cause he brings alot to the line-up. I think Adams would be willing to go a round or two with somone deserving too wouldnt he?

I am not going to tell Godard he is sitting though...haha!

Yes, Adams definitely brings a physical presence to the team as does some of the other new acquisitions. I love seeing Shero adding the winger talent Crosby and Malkin need but also gets a lot more "smart" muscle. Its like a two for one sort of deal.

I mean seriously, look at Kunitz. He hits, agitates, blocks, screens and scores. He has 3 goals in 3 games. He busts his ass every night to help us get to where we want to be. My hats off to him.

    Just some great pick ups!
