Granted this game was at home, but we just demolished the #1 team in the east. If fluery were in the net that would have been 6-2.

I think this team is going to be relentless come playoff time!!

My brother was bashing garon, but I told him he's been out for how many games?? Gotta be a little rusty.

I know he's not the best even while playing well, but sabu was looking a little crappy, Lol.

The fact that Garon didnt look sharp doesnt mean much. He hadnt played sinse mop up duty in Washington. Only other ice time was a start in January with the Oilers...give the guy a break! lol...

They really put him in with a tough spot, playing Boston after getting bench duty for so many games in a row!

Fleury had been on a role, and needed a day off. I thought Garon looked ok, and if he had to play on a regular basis he would be alright. He is no Fleury but he doesnt have to be.

They traded Sabu because it was well known that Therrien wanted Sabu to be the guy over Fleury, which is just rediculous. He was a Sabu guy no matter what, so they traded Sabu before Therrien made himself look like a fool lol...

2 points, and thats all I care about at this point...Lets Go Pens!!!

i def agree with you guys about sittin out so long and what a game to throw him in to. im still upset that we got rid of conklin, he was a great 2 goaltender. also, i wouldnt mind seein them bring up curry and start developing him next year, he looked pretty good the few games he played in.

Wrong. Garon started for us back in January against Toronto in a 5-4 loss.

But you're right though. He is a decent goaltender that did pretty well against arguably the best team in the league. Thats got to be tough to get into that kind of game after sitting for that long.

Oh, since Gill has taken a bunch of heat in this thread lately, I'll also add that he was a +1 today and is now a +7 overall.

Thats right, I remember now. Because my wife asked me why he didnt have a Penguins mask on. I told her to give him a break, he has been in town for about 12 minutes...

i just read on espn that they took the goal away from kunitz and gave it to gonch. i wish they would have known that during the game so they coulda threw him out there for the empty net

Gill isn't playing poorly at all, I am only critical of his lack of physical play for a guy who is 6'7" and should be knocking heads out there. But knocking heads isn't his game, and thats fine...he doesnt finish checks, he leans on people...and that just annoys me...

As long as he keeps playing like he has played his whole career, and not any worse than that I won't complain...sometimes you just have to accept the way people play and role with it.

Haha. At this point I just like busting everyone chops about him. He doesn't hit like his size would suggest he should be but like you said, that's not his game.

He has been a lot more physical and I thought he looked real good today.

There was one time along the glass he just laid on the guy and held him there and I thought of you lol...

He has been hitting alittle more than usual, I have taken notice of that.

Haha. That's funny because I always find myself watchin his play a lot more carefully so I can come back here and rag on you about it.

I used to play street hockey everyday of my life, and I have a hard time saying anyone stinks. I cant imagine the hard work, skill, and dedication it took these guys to get to this stage of their career(s).

I guess I can only critique what I think I would do if I was 6'7" and had the skill he has. Apparently he has been doing something right, even if its only being tall as tree lol...j/k...:)
