    couldnt agree more.

carcillo got suspened for the next game for punchin max in the head. i also thought hartnell, for bein a d-bag, and parent, for the cross check in the back on staal, should get a game too. while im at it, they should look into fining the coaches because carcillo had no business taking the draw to begin with. he lead the team in penalty minutes, what did you think he was gonna do?

edit: good thing bettman was at the game: "Philadelphia Flyers forward Daniel Carcillo was suspended for one game and coach John Stevens was fined $10,000 by the NHL on Thursday"

stieny u might understand punctuation but not sarcasm i dunno what you want from staal i think 3 centers on one team with a hundred points on one team is a little crazy people act like staal was supposed to be the next lemieux or something hes had his best season thats all i know he might not get a whole bunch of points but thats not the only way he contributes hes good on faceoffs which we know this team needs really good on th pk i just dont understand why he gets put down so much and the thing about not being as good as his brothers hes 20 hes got plenty of time i think he needs confidence more than anything everyone wanted him gone but i think hes gettin that with bylsma and i bet he has an even better season next year and refresh my memory who got the number one star in the first playoff game

Again, punctuation would be fantastic but I'll try and pick this post apart. First, not sure where you're going with the sarcasim point. Second, I already mentioned that Staal has been better as of late and that he does have talent, he's just too inconsistent for 4 million a year. Who cares if he got the first star of a game? Seriously. He has skills so anyone can have a good game.

Also, you're kidding yourself if you think that Staal is better then Mark or Eric. Saying he's younger is just an excuse to look past his inconsistent play and justify paying him 4 million a year.

that was an awesome game to watch. i walked over after work (and a few cold ones) to watch it on the screen outside. it was a great atmosphere to watch the game without bein in the arena.

i was upset when fluery let that softy in, but man, other than that he played spectacular. how sweet was the toe save on carter?!

i dont understand why you care about punctuation so much are you an english teacher? and im not sure whats so inconsistent about staals play he may not have a hundred points but he contributes so much more to the team hes excellent on the pk one of are best faceoff men and he an excellent back checker with his long reach the game isnt all about goals and assists everybody is inconsistent including malkin and crosby and i never said jordan is better then his brothers i said he still has a chance to get a lot better and considering that satan makes 3.5 million staal gettin 4 is not that bad in comparison

I am not an english teacher but when on a forum, it's much easier to converse with people when a period or two is used. But hey, what do I know, I don't have my teaching degree.

Although he is playing some of his best hockey right now, Staal is very inconsistent. While Crosby and Malkin might not score or get a point in every game, they consistently perform while others are very streaky. (IE: Staal, Sykora, Satan) It is pretty simple to understand. Saying Staal is young and we should keep him around because he "probably" will get better just doesn't make much sense to me. Why sit on a player that goes through dry spells like he does with anticipation that he could potentially be good? We could easily find someone that does what Staal does on the team but that produces more. That's my two cents and it has been debated in this thread many times. Let it go and lets talk about things that actually matter.

    Not apples to apples man...

Satan and Staal are two very different players, at two very different points of their career.

Satan was only a bust to those who didnt know anything about him coming into this year. He did exactlly what he always does production wise, and quite frankly Therrien really messed him up by playing him on a different line every night. I would of left him on Crosbys line till the wheels fell off. They were paying him to score goals, and he was not going to score goals on the 4th line. I am not a Satan appologist, but just by picking another player on the roster who makes close to what Staal makes and trying to compare production, potential and value is not the right argument.

Everyone wanted Hossa numbers from Satan, and again...its not apples to apples...its not even close!

I didnt think we were that awful, but the power play still is poopy. Flyers looked like a team facing elimination, and they were in all actuality.

Hopefully Fleury has a short memory and forgets this one too...
