    Agreed.

That's a big reason why I like Cookie!

Cooke really disappointed me this past Sunday with Ovechkin...I was waiting for him to get in his face and shut him up but it never happend. I like Cooke, but I think he could do alittle better job being an agitator...unless his style has changed somewhat due to what the coaches are asking him to do of course...

Or maybe I'm just expecting him to be a Ruutu? But all I know is Ruutu would of put Ovechkin on his donkey for getting into Crosbys face...

Tim Benz made a real good point, saying the fighting and enforcers in the NHL anyomre are almost silly. I mean who cares about Godard and Laraque fighting one another...esp when Laraque is going to punk out haha...

I dunno, maybe its just the opposite of how others feel about Sid, but someone needs to put Ovechkin in his place and quick...

Anyone else feel like there is another trade in the next few days coming? I do...this trade today was ok for a few reasons we all have already discussed, but it has some flaws too now that I have been thinking about it...

Whats up with calling Pesonen up, and then sending him right back?

Why call up Tim Wallace? Do you guys like Minard or Thomas or Wallace?

Does it really matter? Haha...just trying to generate some convo...I think lately there has been some pretty good Pens talk in here. Just trying to keep it going...

Yeah ... the more and I hear about Kunitz, the more I like him. I guess he's a pretty scrappy player who does a nice job cleaning up the garbage for goals! ... he's not much of a fighter but that's OK we need a goal scorer not a fighter!

I can deal with the trade, esp. if this Tangradi comes around. it will be big since we GAVE away esposito last year. coulda found a more physical forward but kunitz is a scrapper for his size.

im still stickin with staal, he just needs to be used the right way and still has pently of time to develope. be patient grasshopper.

i have been thinking about staal alot too, how can you expect him to progress and get better on the third line? he is a second line center playing with role players...why not put him back at wing with Malkin...it worked well the last time they did it...doesnt mean it will work this time, but if its what it takes to get him rolling im all for it...

on the other hand, he misses the wide open net no matter what line he is on...the only thing staal has brought consistantly is his penalty killing...

i liked whitney and what he could bring to the defense, just never got it all going...i really like staals size and skills...but aside from his rookie year it has been avg at best...except for the penalty killing...

I wouldn't let Staal sit next to Malkin on the plane in fear that whatever Staal has will rub off on Geno

I think Staal has huge potential but someone needs to have a "come to Jesus" talk with him ... or maybe a little time with the baby Pens might do him well.

here is a post i found on pensblog...very nice to hear! maybe a ruutu with more skills! of course ruutu would never be confused with a top 6 guy, but im trying to stay positive...

Basically he's a guy you want on your team.

We'll see what he brings to the table in terms of scoring output, but I guarantee he sticks and you guys love him. He busts his ass every night.

Some good points that have come up in here as of lately.

Staal, in my mind, has to go. People say "give him time", or "let him play 3rd line center". But we are paying him 4 mil just so we can wait for him to come around or play on the third line? No thanks. Aside from his rookie year, he has been a huge disappointment time after time.

Get some of that good top line talent that we need.

I do like the trades today and I do think there are more coming before next Wednesday. Hopefully it will be Staal for some one or some people.

I do like Thomas, Minard and Wallace. I think they give 110% when they play. I just wish they could play more.

Yeah at least when they miss a great oppertunity to cash in they don't roll their eyes and smash their sticks to the ground while the damn pucks still in play like crybaby staal.

Yea, and the funny thing is Staal has more chances to smash his stick on the ice then anyone else, considering that almost anytime he touches the puck it ends up with a missed opportunity.

Another good thing is that we locked up Kunitz for 3 years. So thats nice that he will be here going forward.

And he will be playing tomorrow.

    Would be nice.

Oh and on that note, let me just say that I can not stand some of Washington's rituals. I'm not sure how many of you guys have been down there to see a game but its annoying. During the National Anthem they yell the word "RED" and "O" anytime the word or letter is mentioned during the anthem.

I hope they go back down there and light them up. Vengeance.

the trib said they put minard on waivers today

dont know if and when he clears what will happen

i figured it was his nice dump pass in front of the goalie or to give kunitz #14 that minard was wearing

i think staal has been playing better in all aspects besides putting the puck in the net

i am sure we are not done, i think gill may be gone next week to make room for gogo
