Cooke has to be one of those players you hate to play against, but want him on your team. Hahaha he drew that penalty near the end of the game. I love his work ethic.

Gills ass cheeks are permantly imbedded in all sin bins. He really looks flat to me. Eaton is making me eat my words, really getting better with every game it seems.

Madden just made a good point too, you steal Guerin from the Craps at the same time as upgrading your first line with a proven goal scorer...its a two for one!

i really like the deal today. guerin is the kinda player we need on the front line and to me, we got him for nothing. also really glad we didnt do anything with staal.

all these games now are gonna be big, esp florida. i thinkin im headin to the game on tues.

for what its worth, i hate mark madden. i wonder how he feels about sayin the kunitz trade was terrible.

Guerin is definitely not a spring chicken but his leadership and tough play will be a nice addition ... much like Scary Gary was!

I like the Guerin deal, espcially considering we got him for nothing. Yea he is a "rental" player, but he brings something the Penguins were lacking and thats veteran leadership in the locker room.

Crosby finally has some good 1st line wings to play with, not quite as big a scoring threat as Hossa (ok not really close at all haha), but Kunitz brings more scoring to the table than Dupuis did when it was Hossa, Crosby and Dupuis.

Guerin, Crosby, Kunitz...I like it...alot!

In fact, I like all our lines now. Very balanced, and that third line is going to be very tough for the other teams 1st line to play against. I still think Staal can bring in a top guy for Crosby to play with for years to come, but I think after looking at the only really affordable guy being Frolov, after his 30+ goals he would get next year with playing on Crosbys line...his price tag would be to rich for the Penguins to take on. Shero did the right thing by holding onto him right now, and you shop him in the summer...

I think its all on Fleury to carry us into and through the playoffs now. The other obvious thing is the power play needs to wake up, and I think now it will.

They got rid of the weak link in the defense, they added depth, scoring, grit and veteran leadership to the offense...all while adding to the baby pens as well! Now its time for Fleury to catch fire and start standing on his head. Show them what your worth Fleury...we all have seen it at times and last year was a prime example...

That right there is the other thing I LOVE about having Guerin. Not only he is ready to defend his teammates, take on the bigger guy...but he is a man about it.

Taps Malone on the shoulder when they are done. Glad to see there are others who respect a player like him...and not a clown like Ovechkin.
