I would have jumped into this thread more often but I've been so sick lately.
Anyways, yes it was a good game yesterday. If I wasn't sick, I was going to get tickets and go but oh well....
They played good. They are sticking to their game and throwing as many pucks to the net as possible. They look confident and it shows in the end results.
I would have to agree with Geno for MVP. I know my opinion is bias but I can honestly say that Ovechkin does not deserve it. I would say this even if he was a part of our team. I just don't like the guy. I think he is in the game all for himself and could care less about the fans, his team or the overall game in general, which in my mind, defines a true MVP. He's a cocky ass that enjoys the spotlight, fame and money. And to comment on all those people who says Geno has Sid; do they all forget about Ovechkin having Semin or Green? Seriously people, come on. Washington fans can be pretty dense sometimes.
Geno, or even Sid for that matter, love the sport, their fans and their team. They are true team players through and through with more talent then almost anyone else to play the game.
So, to follow suit: GENO for MVP!!!!!

Look at how the entire baseball world worshiped Mark McGuire... even tho it was obvious he was juiced, everyone loved him anyhow... i'm sure there's tons of examples

getting at least a point in carolina was good, knowing you lock yourself into a playoff spot today, and not playing as well as you should of against a desperate team fighting to stay alive was not good...

Does anyone else see some terrible officiating in, lets say, about the last 25 games?
Seriously, we take a penalty at the end of the second, they call a second penalty on us to give them a two man advantage, we touch the puck TWICE and they don't stop play. Really? Come on, in any other situation at any other time, touching the puck would have negated the play. I don't care if that happened to us or them, that's just awful.
I hope the NHL takes a look at some of their officials for next season.
