Philly didn't take long to turn it into a street fight once they figured out they could not match the talent level of the Penguins. Too bad they didn't even do that part of their game right...Orpik, Scuderi, Cooke and Kunitz were hitting everything that moved and were matching...or I mean out hitting them physically.
The Flyers are a low class organization, with low class players and a low class fan base. Anyone who doesn't see that is either a Flyers fan or does not know hockey. Hey, whatever you like thats up to you. But I just can't and would not support an organization that prides itself on "I'm tougher than you, so I can do whatever I want." They they have the nerve to complain about how they are picked on by the offcials. You have to got to be crapping me...
To me, its a pathetic sight to watch the Flyers try and play and implement their "brand" of dated hockey. They know they can't beat you playing hockey straight up, so they look to try and beat you phyically and mentally by taking cheap shots and trying to bait you into playing games with them.
BM07GT...the Jordan Staal thing has been played out to death. Not only here but in general. He is a Penguin, I like him. But be realistic! He is not a top two line player on this Penguins team. He is a top two line player on many teams in the league however. With that being said, 4 mil a year for a third line center is crazy...so the logical thing would be to trade him this offseason. He has tremendus value, he is an excellent penalty killer, he has become much stronger with the puck as of late, his reach with his stick is great with his size, plus he has a hockey pedigree. I am almost certain Shero would of pulled the trigger on a trade for Staal this deadline if he felt the value was good. Obviously he didn't see enough in return for him, so he is still here and thats a good thing and a bad thing! Good for the Pens in that he is growing into a great penalty killer, he his helping his linemates get better and is benefiting from the amount of ice time he is getting as well as the exposure to other teams, which in turn ups his trade value! The bad thing for Staal is that he is still a third line center and he has no chance of advancing his status here in Pittsburgh unless he moves to wing.
All I know for sure is the Flyers suck, and if for some traggic reason the Penguins were to loose this series...what a minute...thats not possible...I honestly thought the Penguins in five was a real possibilty but after last night a sweep would not shock me in the slightest...LETS GO PENS!

I did get hit by objects on a couple occasions... usually the dog's toys... :D I love it even more because my company has main offices in Pittsburgh and Camp Hill - obviously all the Camp Hill folks are Flyers fans... We have an annual Actuarial Meeting where all the Actuaries come together.... last year i wanted to get the one guy out there a pens jersey, but i forgot... This year, I WILL NOT FORGET! He will wear a t-shirt that describes just how bad the Flyers are!
