Ah man.... after 2 periods, Detroit has 2 garbage goals and the Pens have several missed opportunities.....

Gotta make them pay for the mistakes, and not let in goals off of the boards... both goals just have me appalled that shit like that finds its way in....

Osgood is letting up big rebounds, so we need to capitalize...

    Lets Go Pens!

All my F-ing a$$hole co-workers from Detroit are lighting up my Blackberry and Facebook! They are a bunch of arrogant pricks, calling the Pens overrated and just talking total trash. They are almost as bad as us talking Steelers trash!

Its only 1 game... its disheartening, but its only 1 game...

We played well enough to win - we just didn't get any bounces, like said above... had lots of missed opportunities and they got some goals that you just roll your eyes at.... Tonight is a big game... if we come back and win tonight, we're still on track... otherwise, we're in trouble!!

The problem is, It's Detriot always getting the bounces!

Last year it was the same thing. I've never seen a team as lucky as det. in that department. Not saying they're not a great team but man they always get the bounces.

Those really are some lively boards over there!!

All I can say is thank god for NHL on the fly. I had tickets to the Coldplay concert last night that my friends and I got a while back. Needless to say I was on my iPhone all night getting game updates. It sucks that I had to miss the game but thats the way my schedule worked out.

Anyways.....those were some crap goals Detroit got. Based on what I saw from the highlights, we had some amazing opportunities and we just couldn't pull the trigger. It seemed as if we had more then Detroit but like I said, I'm basing that of off the highlights. We need to come with the same game and we'll get the same chances.

We deffinitly had great chances but IMO they were in our zone more than we were in det.'s.

They out shot us and KILLED us on faceoffs. Hard to beat the wings when they are the ones with the rubber.

    GO PENS!!!!!!

I think the Pens out played the Wings, more shots, better chances but the faceoffs and Fluerys soft goals cost us the game. They will eliminate some of that tonight and even up the series.

Pens have been the better team tonight for much of the game, but once again, they're down 3-1.... i'm so distraught....

I'm quite frankly appalled at the number of penalties that Detroit gets away with.... its jaw-dropping...

Its disheartening to be the better team, and still not be able to find a way to win....

Here's some more things i've noticed...
    Fleury - not good enough...
Crosby - has been shut down for much of these first two games - some good times though
Malkin - has been very good and been creating a ton of opportunities
    Gonchar - quite simply HORRIFIC!!
    Fedotenko - played well
The rest of the team has been OK

Lets go Pens... gotta get 'em both at home!!!!!!

Osgood = Varlamov...pissing me off the same...how many breaks and saves gave you get in a game, or in two games thus far. Its only fun when your team is getting these breaks and is getting all of these bounces.

Has he (Osgood) been better than Fleury? Yes, but Fleury has played well enough to win...but only two goals for the Pens in two games is not going to beat the Wings. As bad as the third goal was to give up, the defence was equally as horrible or that one.

For me, I really would like to see that third line get a goal. They grind and grind and grind away but they need to put some points up. I would like to see the bounces, not one, more than one...start to go the Pens way. The day I agree with Mike Millbury is a cold day in hell, but he is right. The Pens are just snakebit right now.

Not the first time this year they were down 2-0...Lets Go Pens!

Honestly it's pretty hard to beat the wings and the officials, so many blatant non calls, slashes on Staal twice, Pasqule stick slashed then the goal scored, not to mention the wings muggung around the net, laying on pucks in the crease. Reminds me of the devils in the 90's. Guess the new rules don't apply in the finals.

I have to start out by saying....WOW - Detroit is one heck of a smart team. And they're playing better now than they have played in the previous playoff series.

That being said, is there some sort of rule that prevents the refs from calling a pentalty on Zetterburg? Jeez - in game 1 in front of the whole world he pins the puck against Osgood's back with his hand - in game 2 he does the same thing under his body as he's lying across the goal line. The guy is a great player, but c'mon...it is a penalty if you trap the puck under your hand in the crease if you're not the goalie, right?

The non-calls for the stick getting knocked out of Fleury's hands and Hossa's slash that broke Talbot's stick and lead directly to a Detroit goal are also inexplicable to me. The whistles shouldn't be kept in the refs' pockets just because this is the finals.

I couldn't believe how we had 2 shots hit what appeared to be the inside of the post and still kicked directly out of the goal. Our boys are playing hard, but the fact that they're not getting the key bounces is wearing on them and no doubt frustrating them.

Detroit deserves some credit thus far. They are either quicker than the Pens, or are playing with more confidence / less hesitation, or a combination of the two. We're not able to push the puck up the ice on a consistent basis due to Detroit's aggressive defense. And Osgood is doing his usual thing - being good enough when he needs to be.

Fleury - my god - what's up with him letting that 3rd goal in? Truly horrible.

We're in one heck of a hole now. In games 3 and 4 we had better have a lead going into the 3rd period or I think we're in big trouble.

I hope the crowd brings their "A" game on Tuesday...

Even if the pens play better than the wings, why does it seem det. always has better scoring chances?

Thats what I notice, pens may be getting shots on goal but most are weak and with nobody in front to clean up the garbage. That game should have been 2-1, if the officials help the wings, it's no doubt another cup for the defending champs. One of these years we will get one, Lol.
