haha.. can i get a Hell yea?

Last night might have been the best night of my sports fandom life..... I've been happy about the superbowl wins, and I was too young during the last stanley cup championships... I was always a huge Florida Marlins fan, and when they won in '97 and '03 I was soo pumped - but none of those can even come close too the way i felt last night!
    That absolutely made my year!

I don't remember that. I thought we were pretty good about it and most fans stayed to watch.

The ups and downs of this season took alot out of myself, Lol. Watching nearly every game this season was very interesting...

I counted them out numerous times but thats one thing you can't do with this young penguin team!!

We brought the cup Home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is there going to be any celabration in the burgh for this as well??

    they're expecting 350K fans...

I can see the stage from my office on the 17th floor of the Highmark building, but its a block away, so I don't think i'll be able to see much. I need a set of my parent's binoculars they bought when they went to Alaska...

There has been a huge crowd down there since about 9am

Congrats on the stanley cup!! Like i said when I signed up on this site, I am a Cleveland fan, but pittsburgh sports teams and there owners are serious about winning championships. I wish Clevelands teams would work harder.

So how did it pan out for you? You see anything?

Looked pretty cool on tv. I think it's a little wrong not to get the whole team in on the mic on the stage, instead of highlighting the "superstars" and big play makers of the finals.

Grant Street was lined on both sides from the Federal building all the way to the Boulevard of the Allies, and the Blvd. of the Allies just about all the way to the point. I heard an estimate of 250,00, but who knows ?

I went back to work a block from Grant St. and listened to it on the radio. I could still hear the cheering.

Gill brings size and reach to the ice, and you will notice his absence right away next season.

I liked Scuds, but I knew he was gone. I am more upset that I am going to have to listen to overdramatics about how loosing him is the reason we loose a game here and there next year. Or everytime Ovi scores a goal, or just at the most rediculous things people will whine about loosing one player.

Anytime Sid lost a face off it was Sheros fault for not signing Hall.

Anytime Fleury had an off night it was Sheros fault for not signing Conklin.

We should of never let Colby Armstrong go, he was the glue that held the team together. (this was the most laughable of all of them)

Gary Roberts can't be replaced, and neither can his leadership. (your kidding me right?)

Ryan Malone? Please, Tampa Bay really crapped the bed on that deal.

I liked Ruutu, but even I knew his price tag was more than what the Pens should of paid him.

People like to overanalyze every single move of the NHL offseason.

The end result is what matters. I will hold judgement until then. I just hope all the Pens fans don't overreact.

exactly, shero must know there's something out there to replace these players.

As far as gill goes, I feel like he was a big body with great reach and all but his mistakes always seemed to overide that..
