Well I was walking to work this morning and was going through through a crosswalk downtown. My buddy yelled hey look out. Next thing i know an F150 is inches from plowing me. I got clipped on the hip. They took me to the hospital and checked me out. Everyhting is gonna be ok. Just sore where i got hit.
So look out for idiot drivers.

It is very hard to judge drivers in downtown Pittsburgh... Down by Fifth ave place, often pedestrians cross half way across the street and wait for the other direction's traffic to clear... There are some drivers that slam the brakes to let you go, and some that hammer the gas with intention to make sure you don't even try to go....
Don't forget... Left, Right, Left... haha, j/p

The cops set up a 'yield to pedestrians' check awhile back and nailed a bunch of people. Any other day of the week the cops are more likely to be goin gaga about parking tickets and getting McGann and Chester their kickbacks.
Seems like most people have the me first attitude anymore and disregard simple stuff like yielding. Damn buses are the worst, they don't have to wait for anything and someone told them red lights are optional. On the flip side when I do have to drive down here I'll admit to wanting to pancake the people who just wander out into the street against the light. I do drive an F-150, but not into town today so it wasn't me.

Just some useless info: In Las Vegas, ANY pedestrian hit outside of a crosswalk that is hit by a car, is automatically deemed at fault. Jaywalkers beware. There is at least 2 peds a week nailed by a car or truck. I lived there for a few years.
