Ok so today I picked up some wheels (suprise) and on them are 315-35-17 in the rear..Is this too big for my car? DO you think its safe? Am I risking my rear end with that big of tire?

215's? probably too small for your car!
i think you meant 315...and in that case they might cause some rubbing but im not sure on a new edge....i know a fox would have some problems for sure

and as for them being 'safe' or not, that depends on the wheel width....so how wide are your wheels??

hmm, I'm not familiar with solid axles, but you just reminded me that I want to roll my fenders. I'd suggest doing the same & maybe getting some thin hubcentric spacers if the backspacing is a problem on your car.
What brand tires? what kind of wheels? congrats!
Ill take pics later tonight after I wash/clean them up! Tires are BFG drag radials..I definitely plan on buying spacers for the rear...Are tires this big safe for my rear end though? I dont wanna snap anything.

you might be ok with the 315's on the 10" wheel but not sure...they might be a lil too big since its an 18" tall wheel...unless the rims are actually 10.5" which would make for a better fit....if your buddy was using them on a stang then i would guess they are ok but not 100% sure

dont worry about the rear end housing at all....you aren't gonnna mess that up.
but if you do have stock axles/differential, i wouldn't be launching the shit out of your car if i were you. if you hook really well too many times you may snap something if they are 28 spline stock axles/differential

nothing should snap, unless you rev it to high hell and pop the clutch or something like that. I'd just be concerned about rubbing somewhere. Since they're BFG's they should be pretty effing wide. If they were a nitto, I'd say you wouldn't really have a lot to worry about, but knowing that they're BFG you'll probably want to roll your fenders before you put them on so you don't chew up your fenders or the shoulder of the tires.
They should fit fine. The things you need to reverse in the rear suspension are the quad shocks.
If they're BFG its a 315/ 30 /18, I wish someone made a 35 series 18" 315 although Toyo (Nittos parent company) is coming out with drag radials with a 335/35/18 and a 345/35/17. One of the two will probably be going on my Fox.

Heres some pics...The lips might need a re-finish or a hell of a buff job, only flaw in the wheels..Looks like silly string that sat for over 2 years? Idk but for the price I got these for, sooo worth it!
