Question HID Headlight Conversion vs. Silverstar Headlights

I have an 03 stang and i'm not impressed with the current stock headlights. I'd like something that could light up more of the road. Two choices that i've found are the HID Conversion Kit on American Muscle or just dropping in some Silverstars. I'm not really sure of the difference besides the pricing. Please leave me some input on which you prefer and which would look better on the car.
    Thanks, Pake

I agree 100%. I had the silverstars in my old 01 and didn't notice much of a difference over stock.

Do not go with the Silverstars! I purchased two for my Volvo back in early November and they've both burned out already. Sure they look better but even their website states that they do not have the life expectancy of normal bulbs. After talking with a couple of friends that used the Silverstars, they all had similar experiences. The only plus is that Sylvania agreed to replace both of the bulbs I purchased at no cost.

I just bought HID headlights and foglights from DDM tuning & have put the headlights in. So far they look great, but my car hasn't been out of the garage since I put them in yet.

If you don't like the blue coloring of the HIDs that you normally see, just do what I did and get 5k's.

Low beam only was like 70 bucks & high low was like 140 or something like that. I can't remember right now for some reason

    X2

I have in my '95 and didn't notice a thing over what I had. Go HID if you can as there is no comparison between the two.

Yea, silverstars dont last for crap. My original bulbs lasted 6 years and the silverstars didnt last 6 months. I dont know if it is due to a wattage difference or they just dont last.
